Stainsafe Companies ripoff Purchased warranty for our leather sofa and chair. They do not stand behind their services!! Palm Beach Gardens Florida
We purchased a leather sofa and chair from L. Fish Furniture in Indianapolis, IN. It was not an inexpensive outfit. L. Fish talked us into buying the warranty from Stainsafe. Within 6 months from purchase, we had a claim. They sent someone out to replace the middle cushion on the sofa that the frame had broken on it. Also the back corner of the sofa the leather had torn. They repaired it, but it did not last.
The middle cushion broke again and the cushions on the sofa in the seam areas are tearing. We called Stainsafe to report the problems. They finally sent someone out after 5 weeks. He said that the framing on the middle cushion was not fixed properly at the beginning and that he would ask for a complete replace of the middle cushion. ALso the cushions were tearing at the seams and that he would ask for new ones.
After waiting for about 3 more weeks, we received a letter stating that our claim was denied because "Multiple areas of damage indicate lack of adherence to the reporting time frames as required in order to obtain service". What in the heck does that mean???? That is too broad of a statement. The warranty was for two year and the sofa and chair are only 3 years old and there are only two people who lives in our household and we both work so it does not get that much usuage.
This company should be take care of. They are selling services that they do not provide. They are definitely a rip off. They should be fined for their lack of services.
