Stainsafe & Protection Warranty - Bay Furniture ripoff useless warranty coverage Palm Beach Gardens Florida
This warranty was purchased at Bay Furniture in Fox Valley Illinois for $195.00. At that time I purchase a Lane Sectional with recliner & sofa bed. I had called for warranty work because I had a problem with the sofas sleeper sticking I had use it 1 time prior to requesting a repairman, When Service man came I told him that I noticed the night before that the recliner was not working & the cushions on the sofa section was ripping because springs were not installed properly at factory.
We found that the sleeper had just stuck and was working fine & he looked at recliner and said that a piece was missing and that he would order parts & fabric to make nessacary repairs and that someone would contact us. After waiting 8 weeks I called to find out why it was taking so long.
I was informed that the claim on sofa sleeper was closed and that BECAUSE I wait more than 10 days to INFORM them that the recliner & fabric needed repair the warranty was void! on these 2 items.
I was misinformed by the service man I took his word that this problem would be handeled, I was told I should have read my Warranty paper... I would never recommend this company to anybody. They are ripping off consumers!
