Stain Safe warranty denial, I am having the same problem with the company and I am trying to figure out how to get help in fixing the problem. I bought my dining room table from Homelife furniture on 10/26/00 and it was delivered on 11/16/00. H

ave had no problems with the table until September 15th 2003 when it received s few scratches. I called the number listed on my warranty paperwork 1-877-466-3631 and was given a recording to mail all the info to. In their recording it stated that to be patient and claims could take up to six months to be processed and I will receive confirmation in the future. I mailed it to them and waited for a response on October 28th I was given a web address for stainsafe from a friend.

I went to their website and filed a claim by calling the customer service number. I also faxed the claim into as well to make sure they received it. I was told that a tec would be contacting me by November 10, 2003 to set up an appointment. I called into their call center on Nov 11th and was given a different story, stating since the damage was more than 5 days old now they will no longer repair it. I asked for a supervisor and they said none are available.

I mailed out all the info to them the following day after the incident. Well within the time frame given. I feel that they are just out to steal your money and are not a good deal at all. In fact reading many other comments from people I see that I am not the only one ripped off by them. Please help. Maybe we can all get together and bring a class action suit against them.

Mattress King there is a lot of 'wiggle room' for this company to deny a claim.

We purchased a mattress cover from Mattress King -- with the Stainsafe guarantee. If you read the fine print there is a lot of 'wiggle room' for this company to deny a claim. In the event of a claim of this type, it will be very difficult for you to get beyond a 'he said, she said' type of discussion should the company decide to challenge your claim, so I would have to view these warranty plans with a bit of skepticism. 'Larry,' our salesman at Mattress King, waxed eloquent about how Stainsafe had replaced a whole bed once after some spilled cranberry juice or something. They first tell you how to destain the product if it is possible and then are supposed to replace the mattress if it cannot be cleaned. Rest assured that since you need to have all your sales slips and documentation of purchase on hand to make a claim, many possible claims will simply not be made. Thus the 'warranty' is sold with the knowledge that the percentage of people who buy who will actually succeed in making a claim is... er... slim, to put it nicely.
