Star Casualty / Estrella Insurance ripoff, incompetent, run around, no follow-up, unorganized, scam Miami Florida
Purchased full coverage $148 a month insurance.My truck was stolen August 2004, my possessions taken, and the truck totaled. Let me give one fact. I did everything that I should have, called the police, filed a report, completed all necessary paperwork and even took off work numerous times to pick up reports and give directly to the company.
Every month its another excuse, they must have a calendar of pre-arranged excuses for each month. First-Sept 2003 they needed the paperwork signed, so I signed and returned. Oct 03 they needed a phone interview of what happened, completed that with the investigator on my time at work. Nov 03 they needed to complete their report and pay off truck (Only want to pay 8000 on a 16000 loan and the truck is worth 14000, my bank didn't understand that one either!). December 03 they had sent someone to pick-up the recovery report, cause cannot pay off until report is retrieved. Jan 04 still waiting on them to pick-up recovery report. Feb 04, im a little irate so they tell me to pick it up myself! So again I take a day off to pick up the report and fax it to them the next day.
Numerous messages have been left with not one call returned. When I call and give my cliam #32951 im put on hold on, then transfered to voice mail, where no one returns calls. They say I can only speak to Ms.Claim adjuster but when I call her she transfers me to someone else. They change extensions every couple of months. I ask for a manager and get left on hold for over 15-20 minutes until I hang up or the phone mysterously does. To this day I continue to leave a message daily and no one bothers to call back and say hey Ms. Green this is the situitation. But if your late with the $148 they call you within 2-3 days to make a payment. No one knows what is going on and I'm pretty sure that their just waiting on me to give in and say forget it. Do Not Buy Insurance From These Crooks, If your ever in need you might as well act as if your not covered cause you will get no help.
