I started my blitz campaign on October 30, 2006 by sending Star Point a letter letting them know that I had created a RipOff report about them and listed my demands to sever all ties with them. I indicated that I wanted my money back, and after 10 months of them ignoring me, re-instating the points at this point was out of the question. They missed the first deadline to respond, which was 11/2/06, so I did a mailing on 11/6/06 to the Las Vegas Real Estate division. That night, 11/06/06, I received a call from Jessica at Star Point (now she finally calls) and she indicated that they would deal with my situation through my Lawyer. I said OK. I called my PrePaidLegal Lawyer on 11/10 to discuss some items and I sent her a list of the RipOff reports that I had gathered from the RipOff.com site. We gave them until November 13, 2006, to respond. Well, they did respond on 11/13/06 calling and leaving a voice mail to let me know that my points had been re-instated. Whoop de do, I say TOO LITTLE, TOO LATE. My demand was to get my money back and sever all ties with this unprofessional company. I returned the call that night to Star Point and talked with Jessica and she indicated she did not leave the message, but it was probably from someone at the Jockey Club. So I called the Jockey Club and talked with Yvonne Kenner and she re-iterated that my points have been re-instated and to check the RCI site to make sure. On 11/16/06, I checked the RCI site and indeed the points were re-instated. Still not fully satisfied, I called my Lawyer and filled her in on what has transpired so far. We will still look to get my money back to sever all ties with this company. In chatting with my Lawyer, she indicated that we could try sending them a forfeiture letter that pertains to allowing them to have my Deed in Lieu of Foreclosure. I would not require any monies, so they would keep what they have received from me already, they could resell, and I could go on my merry way. The letter was sent out on or around 11/21/06 letting Star Point know what we are proposing. They were given instructions to contact me within 10 days of receiving the letter to negotiate. I will bet they will ignore this too so I will give them 30 days or so just to prove my point again, they will probably ignore our request. On 12/13/06, I received a call from a Collection agency where they received information that I have stopped paying. He said the item came across his desk in September. I explained to him my situation and that I was not going to give them another dime because of the way I had been treated. He explained his position, which I understand because he's trying to do his job, but StarPoint is playing hard ball. Indeed I signed a contract, but what I don't understand is why StarPoint would continually have me stay in bed with them when I clearly indicated that I want out, and have given them a reasonable way out for both of us. What kind of person would force someone to stay in bed with them?. A RAPIST, That's WHO. You can bet your sweet a*s, I'm not going down that easy. 12/18/06, I received a call from Monterey Financials, this is where our monthly payments were going and I was informed that I was behind in payments, well I knew that and in talking to my Lawyer, I found that I was contractually responsible, so I paid the balance in full. Around the same time, low and behold I get another letter from Mr. Muldoon, basically recapping the whole situation, and telling my Lawyer and me that I was making false statements and misrepresentations when it came to his company. I'm not sure why, but he did not even address the Deed in Lieu of Foreclosure, which is what our letter to him specifically asked about. He again may have been beating around the bush. Well anyway, I replied back with my thoughts letting him know that they were not false statements and they were developed from his company's actions and I called it like I saw it. At this point, a reply is on Mr. Muldoon to discuss an out for me, which he is not obligated to do. If he replies, (which I highly doubt), I'll let you know. I have made my point on STAR POINT and I would have you beware rather than make the same mistake I did. Maybe more to come, maybe not.we'll see!!!
