My brother is an ex-employee and he was adamant to me when he said to only use a MR Lee, or a MR Pryor for my move. Sacramento, Ca. He painted the company as a brilliant example of a ruthless outfit using ex-felons by design because their parole agents, and their civil death status, allows starving students president, Sole Owner Ethan Margolith to suppress wages at 7.50 per hour.
Meaning a feeble and emasculated work force, with petty crimes on thier resume. If you use Starving Students, lock up or box everything! Every six months men with integrity are weeded out in a classic labor churn. Total non-compliance with serious legal issues from garnishing povery stricken movers wages, to making a request for a workers comp are cause immediate termination. Well, I had not talked to my brothers, my friend and me, were billed 2600 for about 12 hours! My brother was infuriated because he told me also about these illegal double 9 percent for workers comp and truck and fuel cost. So, in 12 hours the cost was 2600. The movers were excellent, and had to work in the dark all night. Sean or Shawn was excellent. My brother is demanding the contract because he says I was overcharged at least 1000 dollars.
All movers must call mysterious branch or assistants-the bills are a complex mess by design, the insurance is explained incorrectly-in short-i got played. my friend is somewhat well off, and fears the workers will be fired. That is the evil of Starving Students-the clients are rip offed, but because the movers worked so hard, they let it go. My Brother moved furniture for over 10 years and claims there are good men and bad men in regard to the movers. He views the executive/Sales/managers as white collar criminals. The official California web site of the California Public Utilities commission has all the latest litigation against Starving Students Inc. The corporate Branch names will be made public in another venue.
