Folks - don't trust this guy at all. Per his rebuttal, that I contacted him in April of 2007 is totally incorrect. I have 3 emails showing the dates I contacted him in October 2006 which is before the warranty expired! They were polite may I add. I am going through the BBB in Oklahoma right now and he's telling them a whole different story. First, he told them I didn't contact him until "early December 2006 (Well Dave is it 12/06 or 4/07). He now stating that I needed to have the watchwinder back to the factory before the end of the warranty period and they would fix it Not himself (he is not the factory). Anyone hear of that kind of one year warranty? Best of all, Dave told his home office he had no record of the purchase - well he just blew that one, since now stating in his rebuttal that it WAS purchased in November 2005. This guy never emailed me over a dozen times, I emailed him over a dozen times with the SAME email on one day to get his attention and it worked, yea it had two choice words to express my frustration with him, but he finally emailed back asking me to prove the purchase date, which I did and also sent the same info to his home office as stated in my first Rip Off letter. Dave also stated in his rebuttal that he was never notified about this complaint from the Ripoff Report. Sorry again Dave, everyone knows when you file the complaint, you fill out the name, address and email address of the company/person you're having the issue with. SO THEY GET A COPY. Bottom line everyone, run from this guy and company! As you can see he can't get his stories right, even with the BBB. Thank you Ripoff Report.com to help the world know about people like this. Mike

Let me say first, that I would NOT be an authorized dealer for Steinhausen Corp and one of there very top sellers for the past 5 years if I was not helping my customers after the sale. As being an authorized dealer for Steinhausen, we as the selling store have to process the replacement of the watch winder and if we are not doing this, a dealers contact is quickly ended. I would be glad to give any customer a list of the winders I have replaced just in the last month and the name of the person in charge at Steinhausen that handles the replacements and not because the winders are not good but because we sell so many, that the return dept. at Steinhausen knows my account very well !! On this situation, the order was placed in November 2005 and we were contact by the customer that there was a problem in April 2007. The one year warranty clearly ran out and I emailed the customer more then a dozen times. My contact ended with the customer when he started using profanity and he even admits that on this form. Also if the purchase was within the one year time period, the Steinhausen Corp would have made the replacement happen but they did NOT because it was past the one year warranty. Also just so you know how this service works at "Rip Off" web site, ANYBODY can post ANYTHING ABOUT ANYBODY AND SAY BASICALLY ANYTHING. As this site does not check out anything of what people write about others. I am also NEVER notified that there is a complaint against me! I work with my customers all the time before and after the sale and the many customer comments that is posted on the web site, clearly tell how much time I take to help my customers. My store would not also be in business for over 5 years and be one of the top sellers of Steinhausen Watch winders, if I was not going something good.
