Steven Poe, the "Director of Client Relations" steals money! He collected a debt from our client but refuses to pay us. He stated that he "Sent a check" then a month later they forgot and they would send again. After several attempts at sending a check we asked him for a tracking number or check number... He hung up on us. We have tried calling multiple times and emailing but he is never at the office... He is but he's hiding like the coward he is.

We then called the office and pretended to be a new client. He was all of a sudden at his office. Then when we told him who we were, he said he was checking on our account and hung up on us. I call him and email him every day but he ignores all of our calls. Sometimes he has people pick up his phone just to say he's not available.

They first went by the name Kuntz Law Firm they they changed their name to Fairbanks, Goldstein & Rodriguez LLC. I assume Steven Poe is the Owner because he calls himself the "Director of Client Relations" but he hangs up on his client and doesn't return calls or emails and has people ignoring calls from our number. Nobody would allow that guy to work for them.

I am currently talking to the Texas State Attorney's General Office of Ken Paxton, the U.S. Attorney Generals Office and the Federal Trade Commision in regards to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. I do not imagine they will keep the same name for long. We keep a log of every conversation, date and person we talk to and will be forwarding that information to each office.

Do not do business with Steven Poe or FG&R or Kuntz Law Firm, unless you want them to collect debts, use your name and keep the money for themselves.

FG&R's Response

Just to update you all, since I posted this complaint I have spoke to representatives at FG&R. I had warned Stephen Poe many times before posting my complaint. As a small business owner, I would hate to have a complaint filed against me but Stephen continued to ignore me.

I called again and was able to speak to one of the partners/owners at FG&R. The owner has been dealing with my account personally and I have decided to stay with FG&R. He has worked very hard on my account since we have spoked and has paid in full any debts collected (within 24 hours of speaking to him). If Mr. Poe would represent his company we would have never been in this position.

It was 2 employees that caused a bad experience. Since the management has found out, they have done everything they could to help. Since then, I have continued to use FG&R.

I tried taking this post down but rip off report wont let me. I'm sorry for any damage this may cause to FG&R. I'd given stephen ample time to contact me and warned him multiple times to the actions I would take. It isn't his company so he didn't care, the owners of the company care and everyone they have assigned to my file since.

Dear Readers,

With holding back the utmost frustration of reading this compalint, because we pride ourselves in customer satisfaction. I will do my best to clear a few things up for ALL parties.

To shed some light on the entire situation because there is always two sides of every claim.

The customer is correct in stating their account was collected, but was only recently collected on 2/28/2015.

And normal payment to client on an account collected would be within 2 weeks, March 20, 2015.

Mr. Poe is a worker and does not handle any moneis whatsoever.

The kuntz firm decided to cease consumer collections as of March 1, 2015 and focus strictly on commercial type clients, so we at F G & R agreed to begin servicing their consumer clientele. We began the transition of all client and account information to our software system the last week of March 2015. Like any transfer it doesn't always go as well as planned. Nonetheless, by mid April the transition was complete and we began identifying where we were with all clients associated.

Mr. Poe spoke to Andrew from clients office the 1st week of May in regards to payment and explained the transition of the two companies and this was the only reason for the delay. In regards to the conversation where the client has expressed his frustration of Mr. Poe hanging up on him i was not on the call nor aware of actual facts but can understand the clients frustration if in fact he was purposely hung up on by my employee.  i have only asked Mr. Poe his side and was explained it was not intentional, he said he placed Andrew from clients office on hold, and when  he came back to the line and said hello a few times he could hear them but they could not hear him, so he terminated the call. Mr. Poe is a hard worker and we have never received complaints against him in the past and this situation has been addressed.

Now I personally spoke to Andrew from clients office after the phone call incident and also explained to Andrew of the transition, assured him that neither F G & R nor the Kuntz firm nor any employee of F G & R is avoiding payment due. We were only getting all records correct before any payments went out, and apologized for any inconvenience. F G & R has since that conversation, forwarded payment due Andrew, so the claim that anyone kept his money is completely false. In addtion, we have since began receiving a handful plus of new new claims from Andrew and his staff for more collection services for his company. You can see my confusion and concern when I received information about this obvious misunderstanding.

So this claim, on this site, is disconcerting, because now all names associated in this claim have been tarnished over something that a 3rd party (ripoff Report.com) allowing a post without a hearing a rebuttal first, then offers an " Arbitration Program" for an upfront $2,000.00 And if the Arbitrator finds that any factual statement contained in a report is false, that factual statement will be redacted (removed) from the report, and the title of the report will be updated to state that the matter has been submitted to their arbitration program. This does not mean, however, that the entire report will be removed. Whatever remaining truthful statements, statements that were not found to be false by the arbitrator, statements that were not challenged in the arbitration, or statements of opinion, will remain on the website.

Kindest Regrds,

Marc
