Steven sears advertises asset protection and tax planning. You come to his office to seek for advice to get you out of your trouble.
when you take his advise you get into a deeper troble, his advise lead you in getting IRS audit and lead you to believe that when you not pay your creditor you're better off.
the truth is you end up by paying more than what you owe to him. But you still owe your debts even more so.
When we asked him for our money back he refused and said the work was done in two hours after we cancelled the service, the work was done.
Check him out before you hire him.
Check with the Jamboree court for being a wife beater, getting sued for child support.
Do not hire Steven Sears as he is the most unethical, sleezy and con artist attorney we have ever seen. we will never recommend any body to him ever.

now there is proof positive of unethical conduct by the mayor and city attorney's office which now extends the scandal to every level of government. I expect there to be resignations of several city officials not just the mayor's office but possible the city council as well. there seems to be a conspiracy of silence when these matters are brought up at the city councils meetings.
Obviously, he's trying to cover is own a.. by operating a sideline business that is trying to take on an aire of legitimacy. Simple people will believe simple lies and it wouldn't take long before they pull the wool over everyone and still perpetuate the lies and unethical conduct that got us in this mess to begin with. only vigilant oversight by the members of the citizens league will compel the disclosures to avoid the coflicts of interest and level the playing field which has been compromized by attornies and accountants cooking the books of government agencies under city control.
Ethics and back office dealings with the Real Estate Investors whose debt is now being assumed by Tax Collections are now being transfered to city ownership through tax lien certificates. Steven Sears personal holdings now range in the millions by developing city zoned land and selling it off to developers who are part of the sceme to defraud taxpayers of honest services.
Only upon resignation will the cofidence in government be restored and power will be placed back in the hands of the people who elected steven sears to represent them. Corruption in the sale of city owned property will not be tolerated and steven sears will be forced to disgorge his illegal profits and return the funds to the city coffers for expenditures authorized by city charter.

With regards to your problem with this lawyer, you can not only check out a lawyer beforehand on the below website, but also file a complaint against him/her. http://www.calbar.ca.gov/state/ calbar/calbar_home.jsp In the case of this lawyer, he doesn't have a record of disclipinary action but you can at least make sure the State Bar is aware of what he did.
