Sabrina is a evil person!I talked to a buyer in a forum started on the Stevens and the buyer said that she was in a car accident and couldn't finish paying for the puppy and Sabrina wouldn't refund her deposit. She said if the buyer backs out the deposit is not refunded.

I hope more people reply!! Perhaps we could start a class action suit? PLEASE come forward if anyone else has had horrible times with Sabrina and Duane Stevens!

Yeah, nice one, keep posting under Bre from Galt (Me), and maybe you will just believe you are the "ONLY WONDERFUL ME!!" You can say I never refunded a buyer all day long. Funny HA! Jokes on ya AGAIN!! LOL! I have only had one litter, and it went to family and a close friend. Oopps... CAUGHT YA! Unlike you I dont need money from my Chi's. So keep "trying" to dig up info on me, and or "acting" like your someone else. Please dont TRY and defend me, or act nice, your falseness is simply sad. I am sorry that you are addicted to Jen, but for no reason you are attacking me. You should take some of your own advice, and just DROP IT! Good Luck to you selling your dogs, as I do not need it. So give it up. Stevens Chihuahuas Northern California HA!! One litter ever! This is just a crack up!

Sabrina hasn't had pups in over a year

#3Consumer Suggestion

There is no reason to explain about the deposit as Sabrina has not had pups in over a year. Unlike the lady who just posted above, Sabrina is out for show only pups and still does not ship. This is a fake report written by none other then (hmmm we know who) look at the wonderful use of words! to funny hee hee. Grow up, fly right, take care of your own dogs, quit picking on people you think are "Attacking" you, you are to busy attacking yourself lol to funny.

Deposits are nonrefundable.Isn't stealing

Yes I agree. It is NOT STEALING when a buyer backs out of a sale and the Breeder doesn't permit them to have a refund of their deposit. I think most breeders are fair and would allow a credit if an emergency was the reason for backing out. I can understand too why some breeders would just give the depsoit back if a buyer became angry and would decide to post here.It isn't worth it is it?

That's a harsh judgement

I am sorry to hear of the person you met in the forum that had the accident. However, being a breeder, and if you talk to any other breeder that has been raising dogs for a long while, it's not uncommon for people to want their deposit back when they can't follow thru with a purchase. I HAVE refunded deposits, just to avoid controversy, but I don't really believe it's fair for the purchaser to ask for a deposit back, when the puppy has probably been on hold for 4-6 weeks, and sometimes longer. Honestly, if deposits were refundable, people would just go around placing 4-5 deposits at a time, just to see how the puppy grows up, and then when they decide which puppy they want, they would just get all of their deposits back on the other puppies they didn't want. I've had many people tell me about terrible accidents, etc., and sometimes this MAY be true, but how is the breeder to know when it is or isn't true?? I have talked to Sabrina and she seems like a nice person to me, not a LIAR, SCAM ARTIST, OR EVIL! That's just a bit harsh. I hope your friend can realize that deposits are rarely refunded, and I don't know that any other breeder would have reacted differently then Sabrina did. Wasn't your friend under some obligation to buy the puppy?? Well, she backed out of a sale she agreed to, and there are some losses when this happens. Just like if the puppy died in Sabrina's care, I'm sure she'd gladly refund the deposit, as all breeders should. It goes both ways. It's unfortunate for your friend, but please don't call a breeder a scam artist, because she is excercising a policy that MOST breeders do. I hope your friend recovers from her accident, and finds another baby down the road!
