first off you should have asked for the manager or postmaster.if they didnt insure glass suposedly and you went through all of the trouble to get proof they do just ship the box out of a different post office.

I am a postal employee at one time a window clerk and one time a claims clerk. Yes, you can insure glass, unfortunatly every employee doesnt get the same information out of their training and come up with their own stupid ideas, I work with plenty of know it alls. You will be wasting your time getting a lawyer, sueing, trying to get someone fired because it wont happen. We are protected by union rights and it is almost impossible to get fired. Also finding someone in the post office that actually cares about your problem will be slim to none. No offense but we joke about people with attitudes like this. If I were you I would find a nicer post office with nice window clerks, they are out there.
