I had purchased a unit on storagebattles.com for $620. The pictures on this auction were many boxes and shows many  comics laid out (they had inspected the unit themselves because the initial picture did not show the comics laid out).  I bid 10$ over the highest bidder and i was suprised that i had won the unit so easily without a fight. When i arrived to check out the unit, i was surpised the boxes labeled 1-50 edition of a certain comic and 50-100 edition of a certain comic were empty! I believe storage battles maniupulated this unit to make buyers believe there was numerous amounts of comic books when they knew it were empty boxes. They had time to lay out comic books but did not take time to open the empty boxes to take pictures of it? Scammers!

The Complaint is true, the facts are that storage battles claims "all we are is a online site", but ignored complaints such with these comic's that the auction was staged.I know for a fact, that storage managers are staging units,as goes these private sellers on the site..Not having a live auction allows these storage units owners to stage and not picture the trash, empty boxes, they bait buyer with the use of a digtial camera, staged units and all that storage battles cares about is their commisions......They storage battles is just as guilty as the seller because they profit off this bait and switch tactic.

Storage units should be sold "as is", untouched, only in the state of nevada is it illegal for the managers to enter the unit for photo's,untill these online sites are not allowed to be involved with these lien sale, public lien sales which now you have to join a private membership with a company out of your state in order to purchsed a storage unit.Write your lawmakers,

the lien sale locks should only be cut at the time of the auction, storage battles is bad for the auction business.......

i was going to bid on that unit,it looked to good to be true,so i didn't......the last time i bought a unit on storage battles,

the unit included 1000 german cockroaches, they storage unit had my money already, acted like they didn't know,i had to haul the entire unit to the dumps,or i would have been suuspended and lose my $100 deposit.Another unit, half of the unpictured unit contained chemicals...live auctions you would had seen the roaches running on the walls, and i would have seen all those chemicals in these unmarked paint cans. All these complaints reported to storage battles with no results.

#3REBUTTAL Owner of company

Dear Potential Customer:

Please consider this my rebuttal to the negative report brought against my company by a disgruntled customer.  To set the record straight, StorageBattles.com is an on-line auction site portal which connects bidders to independent self-storage facilities which are placing defaulted storage units up for auction.

StorageBattles.com, much like a live auctioneer or Ebay, simply runs the bidding process, and has no control over the goods being auctioned.  Storage unit auctions are governed by individual state laws and the actual posting and delivery of the units is governed by the individual self-storage facilities.

This disgruntled customer, who has purchased 5 units from StorageBattles.com in the past, apparently had some issues with the unit that he purchased.  The bidder has never contacted the facility about his complaint either when he was there picking up the unit, in the office when he picked up his cleaning deposit, or afterwards.  The first time StoraegBattles.com heard about this complaint was upon reading this report, and at that time, immediatly called the bidder a total of 3 times in order to help him resolve his complaint.  We have never heard back from him.

While StorageBattles.com is sorry that the customer is not happy with his purchase, this was between the bidder and the seller, not StorageBattles.com, as we are just a portal for auctions.  StorageBattles.com has hosted over 50,000 on-line auctions with a content buyer base of over 800,000 bidders.

Sincerely,

James Grant, CEO
