Over 3 months of work I put into my first site. I worked very hard every day from morning till night. When I first found out that it would cost extra money for this and extra for that, I was upset. I figured I could work around these extra costs if I did it all on my own. Which I did...till last night.
I made a call to them asking why my real-time processor wasn't working. I didn't want to use the one that I paid $999 for. I read through my packet and found that I could have my own so long as it is compatible with Authorize.net. Well, that is what I did...except the Supervisor "L", said I needed to pay an additional $200 for set-up.
No where in the packet does it say that there will be another charge incurred if I use my own. In fact, it says, "Configure Online Processor other than Authorize.net-minimum amount $1500.
Well I am not using one OTHER THAN Authorize.net. The people at Authorize.net are very nice, for I spoke with them. They have no clue as to why this is happening.
I don't want to call it quits! I worked too hard to get my site online, and too much in debt (thanks to them) to start over somewhere else. I just want my $999 back for a processor I will never use (because they have a bunch of little charges they don't tell you about either). Storesonline say that they will not refund my money.
Also, if you got as far as I did, there is something else you need to know. Your site will never be yours, their program uses unfriendly and possibly hidden HTML codes, and when search engines do an analysis of your site, it comes up with www.storesonline and bunch of other things as your keywords... not the ones you put in. In other words, you can't get on a search engine unless you pay for it!
