Here is a copy of the Suit:

http://www.oag.state.tx.us.newspubs/release/2005/022205imergentpo

I have personally spoken with Mr.Noriega and they intend to help us get our money back.

You can call him at 210-225-4191. Everyone that has been effected in Texas needs to join this suit. If nothing else then fill out a complaint at the OAG web site, and help stop this company.

I have found lots of information on this company, they were sued in California, Washington, Maine, successfully. Please help stop this comapany.

I listed a complaint here earlier if you care to read it, since then I have contacted StoresOnline about refunding my money and have yet to hear back from them.

They stated the lawsuit was being settled, I have been told by the Texas OAG that is an outright lie.

In the UK you'll want to contact the Office of Fair Trading. You can view their page here: http://www.oft.gov.uk/Consumer/Scams/Reporting+a+scam.htm You may also consider contacting anyone you networked with at the seminar and suggesting the same.

I wonder is there anybody else from the UK experiencing the same situation? I surely know that I am not the only one. Again, i have been ripped off. The thing is, the guy that was doing the sales to me, did everything quickly, and asked me to sign on the dotted line. By right, anything involving a huge sum of money, they should ask you to read the contract before signing on the dotted line, and explain to you, what are their terms and conditions briefly, with mention to the main differences to the other convention contract. For example, their refund policy, and other things that the consumers might want to know, not just pretending that everything is done in the usual way , whereby, consumers have the refund right. When I finally got the package, again, I was hurried to sign on the dotted line without giving me much time to read. I realised that it is non refundable, and non re sellable. I was very angry at the fact that they, as a business organisation, did not explain this cheeky notes they got for excluding themselves out of this 'non this' non that situation. I emailed them for a refund, but they said they cannot do it. I emailed them 3 times again today. Now I intend to report them to the BBC programme called 'watch dog', that takes care of the consumers benefits and rights over their purchases. I m very upset, angry, depressed and annoyed by Storesonline. Wonder if anybody in the UK would gather and file a law suit against them ?

How much to ask for? My time, my credit, emotional distress, and lying

#4Consumer Comment

I am thinking about the same thing that Donna is. How much would you ask for to get this over with? My time, my credit, emotional distress, and lying has a cost that Storesonline is not willing to pay me. Like someone mentioned earlier, his time is worth millions. Can someone give me an estimate so I can discuss this with my lawyer. $500 can be used to pay bills or to save in case of emergencies. I want this nightmare to be over, but I also want them to pay dearly for this.

Keep the Pressure On You are now in the position of power

Donna: I have to agree with Paul. You are now in the position of power otherwise they would continue to ignore you. Use this to your advantage. $500 is a lot of money to pay for nothing, plus you have to consider all the time, effort, and frustration you've invested in getting this far, not to mention the cost of your attorney. I understand wanting to put this whole thing behind you, but you really have nothing to lose by pressing on. In the end, you may actually help other families to avoid this pitfall in the future (at least in Texas). Of course, in the end, you need to do what's best for you and your family. Best of luck whatever you decide.

Push for the refund. Don't let them off the hook that easy.

From what I read here, the down payment is like $500. That's nothing to sneeze at! Plus, you basically received nothing at all for the money. So, why let them keep it? All that does is help keep crooks like this in business. Keep filing every complaint you can think of. Keep the pressure on. Make this whole thing COST them money. You see, when a crook can make even a little bit, they will keep right on cheating people. But, when they have to pay back every dime, it works out to be a complete waste of time to set up the fraud in the first place. If it was me, they'd pay for my time, and my attorney as well. Plus, something for me to shut up and go away and stop filing complaints. Push for it all! Or else, see them in court.

Victory Well almost, I recieved a letter today

#13Consumer Suggestion

Well almost, I recieved a letter today from David Stivers of SOL. Dear Mr. & Mrs. Bogart My name is David Stivers, and I am part of the Customer Relations Department at SOL. I have spoken with the management board about your account and the concerns that you have. The management has reviewed my notes and your account and have decided to offer you a cancelation with no refund. I have tried calling you on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday and have not been able to reach you. This is a written confirmation from the management team that we will cancel your account. If you do agree to this you may call me at 801-227-0004 or even send in a letter to me. Wonder if that had anything to do with getting added to the suit that TX has against them, plus I sent at least 10 letters to StoresOnline, the credit Card company the BBB's OAG's in Utah and Tx. If I accept this offer I am only out the down paynment plus two payments made. Of course I will run this by my attorney first. I just wanted to let you know, It is possible if you are persistant. You go, Donna! It's vitally important that consumers be heard and that Storesonline's corporate parent Imergent be held responsible for it's sales practices in Texas and elsewhere. If you live in Texas and feel that the reality of Storesonline didn't live up to seminar hype, please join Donna and others in getting your refund. If you live in another state, please refer to my earlier post concerning states with consumer protection laws for information regarding whom to contact with your complaint. If you live in Maine, Washington, or California you may already be entitled to a refund. Contact your State Attorney General's office for further details.
