[email protected]Dear Donald Danks:.
My wife and I were initially invited to an Internet Workshop at Girard, Ohio on December 4, 2003. We were given an invitation at that presentation to attend another all-day workshop on December 10, 2003, at Akron, Ohio, where we would supposedly learn how to set up web-site storefronts. We paid $20.00 for this as an investment that was to bring us a sure return. This all-day seminar actually turned into a sales presentation. The speakers involved that day made it sound so easy to set up web sites. They told us they would take us by the hand and guide even the most computer-illiterate people to set up profitable web sites. They made it sound easy enough for a child to do. They said that with their expertise help, we could easily get people for joint ventures and drop shippers. We have spent numerous hours at the Thomas Register web sight getting names of businesses, E-mailing and faxing and getting no responses. After getting no responses from these E-mails and faxes, and more-or-less not knowing what step to take next, we tried various other methods of getting local businesses and stores interested, but to no avail.
We spent $5299.00 for six storefronts that we feel we were fooled into buying. They made it look so easy to get clientele. They made it sound like a chance of a lifetime, and if you did not buy at that time, you would lose out. They did not tell us that StoresOnline has a no-return and no-refund policy at the time of purchase. Also the person who sold us this package neglected to inform us verbally that we had three days to look it over and cancel if so desired. We also feel that they schedule their StoresOnline Merchant Boot Camp within a week of your all day seminars to keep people' s minds occupied by looking forward to the next seminar, so that they won't be looking at canceling within the time-frame allowed.
About a month after purchasing our web sites, we received a call from a place called PMI who told us that they work in conjunction with StoresOnline. We were told that we could purchase help from them, so we could get three of our store fronts up and running at an additional cost of $8499.00. They told us for this additional amount, they would guide us step by step with ten, hour sessions over the phone on what to do to become a success story. This, we thought, had already been included in our original price with StoresOnline. This is when we wised up and realized that StoresOnline are scam artists that have no remorse about putting people in debt and stealing their hard earned money.
We are hereby requesting a full refund of $5299.00. We would appreciate a response. We have e-mailed Donald Danks as well as faxing our letter to him and have received no response.
In addition, we are filing complaints with the FBI Internet Fraud Complaint Department, The Pennsylvania State Attorney General, The Ohio State Attorney General, our local Better Business Bureau, And Rip-off bad business Report .com
