Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I purchased a straight talk phone from Walmart on Sunday Jan. 16th, 2017

One day after activating this phone it stopped making outgoing calls and would not accept an incoming call. I called straight talk to see if they could determine what the problem was.  I was on the phone with the technical support representative for 2 1/2 hours.

The representative decided the phone was defective because after going through all of the settings there was not a "PRL" option.  The representative said there should have been a "PRL" option.  Since the phone did not have the option I was told it was defective and to take it back to Walmart for a full refund.

Straight Talk said there is nothing that they could do for me.

This company stole $80 from me.  They took my money and did not provide me with service after day 1 of having the phone.

The customer service representative did not try to help me at all.

Somebody needs to do some serious investigative work in regards to this company.

This company is dishonest and needs to be reported and SHUT DOWN!!!!!

The representative said there isn't even a manager to speak with!

What the HECK!!

I would like it if someone would please get back in touch with me regarding this company.

I'm about ready to write a letter to CBS NEWS along with all of the negative feed back on your website pertaining to the Straight Talk Company

Who does tgy think he/she has the right to come on this site and treat people like this. Like their all mighty god all mighty. They just have the gall to say the things they do. If walmart sold you a defective phone they should refund it. But this site helps people make better decisions on which companies give a customer a hard time to avoid doing business with them. This site has help me in a big way.

It has help me save lost money and lost time with the aggravation not to do business with them. And by the business response that the OP is writing a false report and not resolving the complaint. This makes me think the business has something to hide at how they act toward  a bad review. And if a business ever files a lawsuit against their customer. I will never do business with them.

I went in to the Walmart store and had assistance by a nice Walmart employee. He returned my pre paid phone gave me $30 back. The Walmart employee couldn't do anything about the $45 prepaid card I purchased . I did not get to use the phone straight talk confirmed phone was defective. I deserve to get my $45 back. If they are providing a working service I wouldn't be asking for my money back. I deserve to get my money back, they did not provide me with a working phone still $45 on the card. RIP OFF COMPANY!

What YOU are complaining about is common knowledge for MOST prepaid customes. ALL prepaid airtime is NON REFUNDABLE under ANY circumstance. Once its paid for its yours. Even if YOU give the wrong phone number, too bad so sad. Its NOT a ripoff, it IS how cheap prepaid non contract services work. I get that the phone didnt work for you but THAT is a different story. Im thinking that YOU would have had better success by taking the phone INTO the store and having a real life person help you. Doing it all over the phone leaves a lot of problems still. Its very common to purchase a new prepaid phone and after one day it gets knocked off the network. Normally all you would have to do is contact customer support and they put your phone back on the network.

Also BEFORE you go about contacting the media you MUST make sure that YOU get express permission from THIS SITE to duplicate ANY post on it. Otherwise you could face litigation.
