on 10/01/07, I ordered a TRIAL of the Striaex product, which I paid $2.95 shipping as per their ad, using my military credit card. It said absolutely nothing about requesting being automatically registered for an auto-ship program

On 10/23/07, I emailed Striaex's customer service to ask where the product was 3 weeks after I had ordered and paid for it. I asked for my order number and the location of the product 3 weeks after the fact. It came a few days later.

On 10/26/07 at 7.48pm. the customer service department responded to my 10/23/07 query, and said "Striaex Customer Service will be in touch within the next 24-48 hours."

On 10/26/07 at 9pm, customer service wrote back again. They stated their apologies, and forwarded my customer order number. They also stated "Your Healthy Skin Club Membership has been canceled and you will receive no further billing." Customer service told me I would no longer be billed for any product, and I was no longer on their auto-ship program. I looked at my credit card online and see they billed me TWICE for the product on 10/26/07. The same day customer service said I would NOT be billed and would NOT be placed on their auto-ship prgram.

I then received an email from the Returns Department on Sunday 10/29/07 stating that I would be billed, and laying out all of the ridiculous steps I would have to complete in order to return the product. Then, I would have to wait 3 weeks after the product was returned for them to verify the product was correctly in their care. Then, I would have to wait a subsequent 2 to 3 billing cycles before the money would be placed back on my card

Since I've sent a million and 1 emails to them today, I'm pretty sure I should get 1 email back from them this evening. I'm pretty sure they'll read this blog as well since I sent them a copy of the last blog on Ripoff where a female was venting her own experience, whi is SO similar to mine.

Why send the product from Canada only for me to send it back?? And shipping internationally ain't cheap!! My military account is checking into their bootleg activities, and I WILL be contacting the Vancouver department of consumer affairs on this matter, and the Better Business Bureau. I was warned by customer service that my report to BBB would onlt result in a delay in processing my refund and cancellation. Do I have to go legal on this?? Being an atty has its priviledges....

Does anyone have ANY idea as to how these scam artists can be brought to justice?? Aside from cancelling my creditcard so they can't do it again, what is the real answer to stopping these artists in their tracks? Considering their 800 number states they don't work on Mondays and Tuesdays, and they're only in their offices Thursday thru Sunday (Which is bootleg all by itself for a business which SUPPOSEDLY sells a product to many consumers on a daily basis), they managed to send me an email at 12:25 am, which would have made it 9:25pm on Tuesday in Vancouver..this.. I'll have to go back to the website and see where it says all that he says here. I don't see how I would agree to receive something on a 25 DAY TRIAL BASIS when it takes 3 weeks for product to leave Canada, go through Canadian customs, and be received by ANYONE in the US. That means it's inevitable that US consumers will ALWAYS miss the return deadline!! It's impossible to receive, try and then return ANY product to Canada within 25days!! At least he's consistent and always responds
