Suburban Propane Unorganized theifs who steal money Brewster New York
I was a Suburban Propane customer for years , in the begininning as a smaller company the service was adequate! As the company grew there was a consistant increase in problems, from missed deliveries, to overcharging, and over charges. For the past three years my family has participated in the monthly budget payment plan to keep the costs down, we paid a set amount monthly. I first experienced a problem two years ago when my gas deliveries were stopped because we owed a large amount of money. I called and asked why do I owe the additional amount when I pa 350 + dollars a month, thich was auto payment through my bank. The company stated I was not part of the budget plan, so ultimately I paid the amount, and reinstated my family on the monthly budget plan through the maincustomer service office in NJ in 2013. During this time I had tanks that were broken the gauges didnt work so I didnt know what my propane level was. we ran out of gas three times during this time period, five years ago i put in a 5000,00 gas furnace it has been run dry three times. Then on christmas day 2013 we ran out of gas, and had to pay $90.00 to get an emergency delivery. One month following the Chistmas problems we get a bill for $600.00+ dollars I called and asked why when we were on the budget plan, the Brewster NY office customer service rep told me at that point that, I was not on the budget plan. I got a little heated, and told her that the main office customer service set me up on a budget plan, the Brewster rep said no.
The result is that I am being billed $1300.00 and to beat that I get a collections agency notice from a lawyer saying I must pay. So Suburban Propane makes mistakes constantly, but thats ok we the consumer will pay for it.
America the place where capitalism and opportinity, is available to all, what happens when companies abuses its power through inproper management of the clientel. There needs to be a consequence for this behavior by large companies, It is disgusting!!
