Subway Attempt to Stifle Whistleblower Milford Connecticut
I took out a franchise and as a result of unprofitable trading, closed the store. After being told that my Development Agent would be purchasing the store if no buyer was found i subsequently agreed the sale of the outlet to an existing franchisee.With the authorisation and blessing of the Development Agent.
The negotiated sum of $25,000 ($45,000) was credited to my account and that was that, standard business procedures completed. However, Subway changed their mind claiming that because the lease was forfeited the money should go direct to them. This was despite my Development Agent assuring me that this would not occur. The new buyer subsequently stopped the cheque, recalled the money, and left me feeling aggrieved. So aggrieved in fact that i set up www.subwayuncovered.com web site.
This site blows the lid off subways costs, lies, and tax evasion encouragement.
Now Subway are threatening to obtain a High Court Writ to shut me up and take down the web site.
