I was approached by a sales rep from Summit Merchant Services promising me a much better rate than I was paying, plus paying off my current processing and equipment leases.  I required written confirmation that would be done before signing up.  After signing, nothing promised happened.  My rate was twice what was quoted, unexplained fees added to my account, the prior equipment lease was never paid off and I was hit with "PCI" compliance charges to be automatically debited monthly.  The sales rep had explicitely told me the new required equipment (from LFG) was already PCI compliant.  After over 10 calls to the rep, she informed me she had quit over the discrepancies of what she had promised me and what was actually occuring.  I began calling the customer service number and requested a new rep to handle my account and resolve the problems.  I spoke with multiple supervisors who promised a new rep from my area would call.

I never heard from anyone from the company for 2 months despite weekly calls to customer service.

In the meantime they began using my bank account as an ATM machine, debiting for totally unknown charges. Lease Finance Group is their partner in crime.  Upon calling them, they say they are only the lease equipment company with no knowledge of the account specifics, other than I signed a "non cancellable" lease.

After researching both Summit's and LFG's history, I realize I was totally scammed by them. As a busy, small business owner, I was a prime target for their deceptive business practices.

I have since closed my bank account to prevent further fraudulent debits by both of them and have filed complaints with the Attorney General's office of both Texas and Illinois, and sent a complaint to the FBI for extortion and racketeering.  I have begun receiving threatening letters from both of them to pay exhoribitant fees or else they will ruin my credit.  They are good old fashioned crooks.  Karma and the FBI will get them.
