I wanted to purchase an 1995 F-250 and I worked with a salesman named Jordan who was very nice to deal with, But the used car manager Jeff Halsne WOULD NOT allow me to take the truck to my mechanic stating it was "as is" take it or leave it. He was a complete rude jerk who talked to me like I was a child, Very Condescending! I bought the truck and the next day the tranny is spilling oil out everywhere! 5 days later now and the truck wont even start! I cant believe this Jeff guy, he shouldnt have a job where he talks and deals with people.. Avoid Superior Ford at all costs! This is a second generation LEMON I have bought from Superior Ford. Jordan my salesman was awesome though! He belongs at a reputable dealership.

Thank you for coming out with your testimony on Jeff Halsne Lynn, fortunately for Jeff, 20 years ago when he started in this business, the internet was not so mainstream. So when he screwed people over back in the early 90's, nobody heard about it except by word of mouth. It seems as if the times of technology and online reviews have finally caught up with him.

Instead of coming across throwing out online reviews on Cars.com where your name is not mentioned once, and finger pointing at the CUSTOMER of all people, Suck it up as a manager, and you should try and change your ways because slick backed hair fast talking dealerships of the 80's and 90's are being replaced by reputable and dignity run dealers that put the customers first and not their own stubborn pride.. On that note, now that I have almost $10,000 into a $7000 truck, Im done wasting my breath on Superior Ford... Please take note of ALL reviews when considering where you buy your next car...

Slander definition

Im over this with this piece of garbage Ive now spent over $3000 on since Jeff wouldnt allow me to take to my mechanic, But slander is as described below.  Its not speaking and telling of TRUE events and actions. Good Luck Superior Ford with Jeff Halsne!

1.  defamation; calumny: rumors full of slander.
2.  a malicious, false, and defamatory statement or report: a slander against his good name.
3.  Law . defamation by oral utterance rather than by writing, pictures, etc.

Jeff,

You did the same to me.  You stopped responding to my e-mails.  This is NOT an issolated inncident. Please do not get on here with this " high and mighty", we are the best dealership ever when you use 60's high pressure tactics as well as being the only dealership in Minnesota that does not require back ground checks on your sales staff.  The fact is you are scum.  Your dealership is scum.

This review is not quite an accurate description of what happened. Mr Teebags had previously taken one of our vehicles to his mechanic to have it looked over. After telling him that our insurance policy did not allow customers to take our vehicles overnight he called at 8:30 pm and said he couldn't get it back to us that night. When he came back the next morning he said "Oh I guess it doesn't have a third row seat" I guess he needed his mechanic to point that out to him.

On the busy Saturday he came in to buy the 1995 F-250, we told him he could take it to his mechanic, but we weren't going to "hold" the truck while he got this arranged. We had several other customers that had made appointments to see the truck.  He at that time had no problem buying it. Saying "this is such a good deal I don't want to lose the opportunity to buy this truck". We told the customer that the vehicle had never had any mechanical inspection done at the dealership. I'm not quite sure where he feels he got taken advantage of.

He has been slandering me on every site he can think of. I've been in this business for twenty plus years and have more repeat and referral business than this guy will ever dream of having.

Worst Dealership ever

Superior Ford on Bass Lake in Plymouth is the worst of the worst.

We should picket outside those scumbags.  The are a disgrace to the industry using Denny Hecker, 1960 hard sales tactics.

They are owned by Grossman who runs a few shady dealerships in the Twin Cities

" But the used car manager Jeff Halsne WOULD NOT allow me to take the truck to my mechanic stating it was "as is" take it or leave it. "

That statement should have told you everything you needed to know about the truck.    If there was nothing wrong with the truck, they'd have no problem letting you take it for an inspection.   The ONLY reason a seller would refuse that is to keep you from finding out the true condition of the truck.

When you decide to buy a vehicle "as is" without having it inspected, you're basically rolling the dice and hoping that you'll get lucky and have no serious issues.    In this case, it doesn't even seem to involve luck, as the sales  manager pretty much told you it was a lemon before you bought it.   Bottom line, "as is" leaves you no options.  If you don't protect your interests before the sale, no car salesman is going to do it for you.
