Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
When I first contacted Support Kids, I was desperate. My ex-husband was $25,000 behind on his child support and only paying a couple hundred dollars a month through the State. (just enough to keep them from going after him). I couldn't afford a lawyer and didn't know what to do.

Support Kids seemed like my only solution. They keep 34% of what they collect plus a $495 set up fee but I thought I would at least get something. I explained to them that my situation is unique, my ex-husband works construction plus owns nightclubs. He is very wealthy but his businesses bring in a lot of cash that he doesn't report and he has no bank accounts and doesn't get a paycheck. Support Kids said that this was no problem, they would be able to collect.

In order for Support Kids to take my case I had to tell the State to send all money to them. SO now the State isn't involved. Once my ex found this out, he stopped paying. He is afraid of going to jail but now that he know's the State won't go after him he doesn't care. He payed $1000 in the beginning, before he realized what was going on. (after SK got their set up fee and took 34% I only got a couple hundred dollars)

Support Kids has called him every 3 weeks for about 6 months and left a message on his machine. THey have now put my case in an inactive status and are only searching a data base periodically that lets them know if my ex gets a regular job so they can garnish his pay. (My ex will never get a regular job).

I have begged them to let me out of my contract so that the State can go back to collecting but they won't do it. I desperatly need money but Support Kids has stopped me from collecting the small amount I was able to get before I signed with them. They are a rip off and should be stopped. They just want you to sign a contract so that any small amount you are able to collect will go partially to them. This isn't fair to all the kids and single moms who desperatly need this money.
