I previously had surgery from Suzanne Kim Doud Galli for a rhinoplasty procedure and it turned out bad. I still can not breathe through one nostril, have fish line coming out of my nose after more then 5+ years of the surgery and scars are still visible under and inside my nose. I went to visit the doctor to see what is going on with my nose and she told me to put neosporin on it and told me my septum is not fully attached on my nose bone and is deviated. She did not explain why I still had fish line coming out of my nose when they were suppose to melt away??? 3 months later I canceled my surgery with her because she would not provide me with an estimate of cost out of pocket and what she will bill my insurance, I get a bill in the mail for $760.00. She billed my insurance and I 2 different bills for my 10 minute free consultation visit and a 10 minute pre-operation visit. She also prescribed me oxycodone, hydrocodone, and, cephalexin on my preop visit prior to even having a set surgery date or confirmation. I tried to settle this matter disputing that I was not informed each visit would cost $350.00+ but Dr Suzanne Kim Doud Galli refused to help and is trying to rip me off and my insurance company and act like she is not responsible for my malpractice on my nose. She thinks she has no responsibility what so ever for my nose even though she said she would re-do the operation when she found out it didn't go wrong the first time. Then she disappeared from the company she was with when I had gotten my surgery and now is with Reston Facial Plastics in Virginia trying to charge me $760.00!!! Then she has the nerve to threaten me and talk down to me and act like she has no responsibility from her malpractice. People like this should not be doctors.

What malpractice?

This angry, disgruntled patient repeatedly alleges malpractice as if the matter has already been litigated with a jury finding the facts in his favor.  But from his posts, I see no evidence that anything has been litigated.  I don't even see evidence that this patient has found any expert who agrees with his layperson opinion that the physician's performance was sub-standard.  Yet he recklessly alleges malpractice, anyway, as if malpractice has been proven.

With regard to who is being rude to who, I surmise this patient is rude to the doctor, rather than the converse.

The patient may have a legitimate grievance.  But if he is to have any hope that a judge or jury will rule in his favor, then he must first improve his demeanor to make himself likeable.  Right now, he comes across as obnoxious; and juries do not rule in favor of jerks, regardless of the merit of their case.

I only speak truth. There is no reason for me what so ever to lie about anything as I am a victim of malpractice and being over charged without clarified information.

I did not benefit on anything. I lost time, money, and still have a dysfunctional nose. I did not approve or consent my insurance be involved because they didn't know if anything would be covered. I just gave my insurance card to them because they wanted to see if I was insured. I have all the email proof of trying to settle this issue but the doctor refused to help and started changing the subject matter of discussion.

I did not threaten the people at Reston Facial Plastics what so ever as I have no reason to. I did email in 06 saying I could breathe a bit better but my nose was clicking and misaligned because my septum was still not fully attached to my nasal bone.

I went in to see the "same doctor" Suzanne Kim Doud Galli, although yes she was working for  a different practice at that time I had my procedure done. Is it wrong for me to go to the doctor that did my surgery and ask why my nose is still not fully functional after all these years? Is it wrong for me to ask why I still have surgery lines coming out from my nose when I was told they would melt in my skin?????? Is it my fault that I contacted the doctor that did my surgery for questioning and ways of fixing it???? Yes, I called to ask for the final bill that I was willing to pay at that time for 2 visits, one being a free consultation, but they still could not provide exactly what I owed. I was just rudely demanded to pay the deductible. Also because my insurance received a different bill then I did, I called to settle this matter but it got nowhere. I also did call my insurance company before I even called Resont Facial Plastics, so #1 owner you clearly do not have any idea what happened.

response to anonymous post: isn't paying the deductible easier than going to these lengths?

#6REBUTTAL Owner of company

Fri, August 12, 2011

It's alarming that a patient can post an anonymous report and spew venomous falsehoods and defamatory allegations especially when a simple phone call to his insurance company to have the contractual obligations explained to him may have alleviated the misunderstanding. There were several attempts by our office to explain to this patient that the deductible and co-pay are dictated by his insurance company and therefore his responsibility to pay. The response was a vicious tirade by telephone complete with profanity (bilingual, no less) and also a series of rude and offensive emails. No threats were ever made to this patient. On the contrary, the threats came from him. Every attempt to assist this patient with his medical issues has been misconstrued in his post. The facts are that this patient came from another practice and had surgery years ago. He sent an email in 2006 to state he was happy and breathing better. At that time, he was given the contact information for the new practice. He reported recently to the new practice and consented to involving his insurance company because of his functional nasal issues. His insurance was billed. No payment was made to this office. Instead, a portion of the bill was applied to his deductible. It was explained to him that he was responsible for his deductible and co-pay as defined by his contract with his insurance company. And this patient refused revision surgery despite the great lengths and effort made in terms of phone calls, letters, and scheduling to accommodate him.

This patient has only paid a small co-pay. Yet, his account with his insurance company has been credited several hundred dollars towards his deductible although, to date, he made no payment towards his deductible. In other words, he is the one who has gained from these interactions. Perhaps, the wrong party has posted this ripoff report.
