You have the right to challenge anything that's on your DAC report. Search DAC repair on the internet. There are quite a few companies out there specializing in DAC report repair. DACFix.com is one that I've heard reffered to other drivers (by drivers) more than once.
If and when you get your situation resolved, it is well worth the money to join OOIDA. Your membership entitles you to cheap, if not free, legal advice. As always, do your homework on any company you hire on with and understand what you're getting yourself in to. Educate yourself about your industry as much as possible. There is a wealth of info in those trucking digest and magazines at the truck stops.
I wish you luck on getting back on your feet. Take care of yourself and stay healthy, no can do this for you but yourself.

in response to Alan-Kansas City: that's just like someone in the trucking industry, to correct someone else while being wrong yourself. not much difference between you and him when you spell words incorrectly. grammar, which has to do with speech and absolutely nothing to do with driving, is not spelled with an "e" (grammer), as you have it here. maybe we should be glad that you aren't in an 80,000 pound semi, and if you are, we should lobby to get you out. stick to what you know. find something else to do, and stop criticizing others. this man had a legitimate thing to say, and this site allows him to tell his story, no matter how he may spell his words. it is people with a mindset like yours that deprive others of rights and civil liberties, even justice. find some where to park and pull the brakes.

When you quit a job, especially a truck driving job, it is YOUR responsibility to return the truck, trailer, and any other company equipment to the terminal unless otherwise directed by management.
Failure to return the truck is considered truck abandonment throughout the inustry. You have black balled yourself through your own actions. I suggest you look for an alternate career because no reputable company will touch you now.

About 2 months ago I got sick and i got behind on lease payments at JB HUNT Transport. When i got sick I gave my notice that i was quiting. My truck had to be towed to fraightliner. When i called to check on the truck to take it back to the JB HUNT terminal to turn it in, JB HUNT had already sent someone after it. I tried calling JB HUNT to see what has happened, they wood not allow me to talk to my dispatcher. When i went to apply for another job, I foundout JB HUNT had put on my dak report I had abandon the truck when i didn't. My dispatcher never gave me a chance to pickup the truck and take it back to the terminal. Black Balling me in the trucking industry. Black Balling is illegal. i want the federal goverment to step in and stop them from doing this. i want my dak report cleared of this falsefacation. Sence JB HUNT has done this. I have lost my van, my family no longer speaks to me and I'm fixing to go to the homeless shelter to live. I have lost everything. I want to work and I need to work. There is no excuse for JB HUNT to black ball any driver. It is illegal and JB HUNT should be prosacuted for doing it. I want legal action brought aganist JB HUNT.

I am glad that you are no longer behind the wheel of an 80,000 pound truck.... I can't even read your report...
(.i called every day.the truck tore up and to be towed to fraight liner.when i called to pickup ther truck and take it to the terminal jb hunt had already sent)
What the hell are you trying to say. Maybe if you learn to spell, and use grammer your chances of getting and keeping a job would be much better..
