Swift Transportation After reviewing the websight alott of the things mentioned resignates with us. My husband and I drove team for swift for about 8 months. We were out for 14 days and would often only end up getting paid 300 each per week!! We were also were shorted miles consistenly on every load and swift often told us they lost the BOL and was asking us if we had copies or they wouldn't pay for the load. New Boston Michigan
The average training time with the mentor is 6 weeks but because my husband was a former carpenter his mentor kept him for 7 weeks to work on the mentors rental units on weekends. Aftr that my husband mentored me to drive for swift and we drove team but rarely made over 600 a week together. At the orentation they told us as a team we would drive between 5000 to 7000 miles weekly. We ended up getting less than 3000 miles per week for a team. Alott of our down time was due to additional classes that were required by swift to log on duty not driving but were with out compensation. In addition to that the mechanics had our truck in the shop for 2 weeks to diffrent times for the same isue also with out any compensation. That was a total of a month for an over heating isue.
They filled us with promises with 45k for a solo driver and double that for a team. And they were delivery aprox 20k for the team. We were consistently shorted on miles on every load we hauled. We were always on time with no accidents!!! I would not recommend working for swift to anyone!!! If there is going to be a class action law suit we would like to be involved. Perhaps swift will learn the diffrence between forced dispatch and non forced dispatch ultimattly that is why we left. And we have plenty more to say about swift.
