Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I been in T-mobile since 2005 I renewed for 2 yrs starting July 14, 2006, assuming that the service would be as good as the year before. My original Zip at the time was 20164 at my business location and there is coverage and I lived in my home 20176 and coverage was good that is why I stayed with T-mobile. DEC. 1,2006 I moved to Zipcode 20165 about 2 miles from 20164 and I found out that I don't have coverage in that zipcode. My plan is nationwide, no roaming unlimited nights & weekends.

In all T-mobile phone that advertise online they all showed that there is coverage in 20165 Sterling, VA. That is a lie because I live in that are since DEC.1,2006 I can't use my cell phones I paid for a cell phone to be able to use anytime I want specially inside my home.

I been calling T-mobile they don't do anything they ignore my emails I called them from my land line phone after talking a few minutes the Tech. person will suddenly said I can't hear you! 3 times then hang up.

I want my phone to work inside and around my home ASAP because I paid for it.

If T mobile can't make my phone work I want to cancel my contract w/out penalty because it is not my fault their company do not deliver the service that they advertises and that's wrong false & misleading. I only need to things I stay with t-mobile if they make my service work or cancel my contract w/out penalty.

I am surprised reading what other people complaints about t-mobile. I wish there is something that we can do to stop this bad business practice. Tmobile own by a foreign company why we allowed this company to cheat us the American? Can we get together and start to fight back? I filed my complaint to the FTC yesterday I am not sure if they will do anything about it but I did it anyway.

Thank you for allowing me to post my complaint,

Is not something to do with Phone

I don't think that is something to do with phone. Nokia has the best reception by far from any other phone because I have tried all the other phones the reception is bad even in local calls. Nokia when I make an overseas call the reception is clear it sounds like I am talking to the guy next door. Anyway, I've been talking to T-moblile Tech Support people about 5 Dif. people since 1 Dec 06. They said they will send an engineer to chewck the area so, they upgrade their service in that location That was Dec 1, 06 so they sent a request, In Jan. 07 I spoke to another Tech support person he put another request for the engineer to check the location because the more request get in the their record they will get a faster reaction. I called again yesterday spoke to Robert Tech Support guy again he told me he will make a request for the engineer to look at the area I told him that I already requested it twice and no follow up as they promised to call me w/in 48 hrs after the request is submitted. Guess what he can't find any request for the engineer to check the place. So, I said I being lied to by the other 2 tech support people I spoke to previously and he said that they did not lied to me it just the request is expired that is why he can't see any request from their record. Why is that??? When I take my car to the authomotive shop they always keep the record about my car and my complaint on file even if they don't have computer but they have a log that they look at later on the history about my car and the service thay they performed a few months back.T-mobile doesn't have that. If you have read some other complaint in this site about T-mobile a woman change her phone for that reason like what you just said she paid more for the second phone but still not working. That is all

To Judith: I have been a customer of T-Mobile for about 3 years now and so far I have gotten excellent service. I live in Kansas in the 67206 area code and while the phone that I had was great, I can't get any signals when I go to class in the south side of the city of Wichita. Same thing happened when I go to visit friends in that area. I called and complained to T-mobile but they said that there was nothing they could do. Its really not a matter of a foreign owned company cheating American customers, it the phone that is causing the problem most likely. I would suggest probably getting a Sony-Ericsson phone as I know from personal experience that they have really good signal strength and reception. I took it to a friends place where, previously I had no signal, now I am getting full bars. That just my opinion though, would like to hear what you think.

Unfortunately, I don't have a contract in writing only verbal contract said: I will be committed to a 2 years contract for the plan that I have unlimited nights and weekends 600 whenever minutes. This is the first time that I heard about this (not working indoor). Therefore they are misleading the consumers that should be false advertisement. It should be display to what do work or what not work. Before T-mobile I was with AT&T until it was bought by cingular I believed. I did not like the customer service. I have writing contract with At&T but never said is not working indoor or may not working indoor. T mobile never mention that to me over the phone. If they said I would not signed in with them. I will look for another server that do have indoor service. If what you said is true, they hid the truth about their service that should be against FTC.Business practice of advertisement. I am for knowing the truth and decide if I should or should not swim with the shark. Honesty is always best policy for me. I went to Target last night they posted a display message above the cell phones it said ( these phones with contract or no contract) so, customers are buying. When it got to the casher it was diff. story. So, customers line up complaining to be remove that misleading advertisement because they are buying the cell phone w/out contract.Knowing that they all returned their cell phones. Thank you for your comments Judith

tmobile contract says they don't guarantee service indoors

#5Consumer Suggestion

I believe if you read your contract you will find that tmobile, as well as most other cell companies, does not guarantee service indoors. Cell phones were actually made for outdoor use. I know we're all replacing our landlines with cell phones but that error is really the consumers fault by not understanding how cell phones work. Anything in a building can interfere with that signal. Some companies are stronger in some areas than others. Does your phone work outside of your home? If you want reliable service inside a home you should stay with a landline. They are hardwired in and not dependent on signals traveling through the airwaves.
