In Nov 2001 a friend brought me fishing about Neah Bay, WA. On the way their a text appeared stating we were on the international roaming. Curious, I dialed 611 to talk to T-Mobile since we were obviously still within the US.

The person on the phone asked for zip code, I found it and he confirmed I would not be charged, the text message appeared because at that area T-Mobile has to borrow another tower.

December I received the statement with the surcharge, called the company, the rep recited the note and quoted that the other person had advised me I was in the international area. I was so upset they lied to me I requested to hear the recorded conversation, but was refused, obviously because it's not in their best interest to release it.

The problem here is much further than the dollar surcharged, but the consumer trusted in the company whenever advised. If the consumer was told everything is fine, and the representative dictate a different records, that's not right and the company refuses to retrieve the recording to investigate their own employee conduct.

The friend the went there with me still remembers the phone called I made to T-Mobile while in the truck. He has Verizon and never had a problem. I guess if this is not taken care of rightfully, that's where I go...
