I switched from two different mobile providers to T-Mobile. I had to buy new phones. Neither of the phones has worked since they were activated. I checked the SIM cards and replaced one at my own expense. We get NO signal strength at all on either phone, no matter where we are (inside, outside, away from home). Customer service has provided no assistance at all. Now I have two phones that don't work and no service.

It is always a consumer's right to cancel a contract.

However, there is usually a grace period to do it in specified by the respective company. With T-Mobile in CA, it is 14 days. A simple suggestion would be to cancel service within the trial period to avoid a contract and any early termination fees that might be associated with it. The only real fees that you would be assessed would be the activation fee and any minute usage.
