Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
We have Tmobile My Faves Family plan but we did not subscribe to text messaging. I noticed on our bill that we were getting billed 15 cents for each text message we recieved even though we were not opening it. I thought it was a billing error so I contacted customer care.

I asked them why we were getting charged for these unopened text messages and that is when I found out that they bill us for all texting, regardless of whether we accept it or not. They told me that the only way to avoid these charges would be to turn my phone off for 72 hrs and then any messages recieved during that time would be disregarded. That sounds ridiculous to me.

I asked them to block this service from my plan and they told me they cannot do that. The worst part is that T Mobile sends me text messages too and then charges me for getting them. The least they could do is not charge me for the ones they send me.

I believe that T Mobile is making a fortune off of their customers by doing this. This is complete "Rip Off"!! Hopefully something can be done to stop T Mobile from taking advantage of us.

Block all text messages and pay nothing.

#2Consumer Suggestion

Per T-Mobile's FAQ's, customers are supposed to be able to block spam text messages by... 1. Go to the Web site that you remember signing up with for alerts/notifications. 2. Log in to that Web site. 3. Find and turn off alerts/notifications or entirely remove your @tmomail.net address from any mailing list. Hope this helps.
