Where do I begin...

I have had T-Moble service for a while now. I liked the phone service, but I wanted to get a more afforable Phone service

since I was paying for 4 phones and the monthly bill was approaching 170.00.

I talked with the local store and told them that I wanted to pay off the one phone that I owed money on and pay for my final bill. I informed them that I wanted my phones unlocked so I could use them with another service.

So I payed off the phone that I owed money on (overpriced to begin with) and payed the final bill so I would not owe them anything. (They will not unlock your phones until you pay everything off)

They unlocked 3 of the phones but did not unlock one of them. (this phone has never worked since then)

They left the account open for all 4 phones since the one phone was not unlocked and was an "active account"

They then prceded to bill me for all 4 phones for another month. I did not know this happened until I started receiving bills in the mail. (they also told me that they could not get the phone unlocked and they could not do anything about that)

They billed me for a second month after that, and I called the customer service and talked several peeople to try to get this resolved, they were able to remove one month of billing, but they said I owed the money for the other month.

I explained that I had to pay everything off to get them to unlock the phones (3 of them anyway) and I paid the final bill.

They informed me that everything was taken care of and I would not have any problems and would have a zero balence.

NOT TRUE! I think they wanted to not unlock the one phone so they could keep the acount active and bill me more money as a punishment for me leaving their phone service!

They now sent me the FINAL BILLING NOTICE and say that it will go to a collections agency and will will be reported to the credit bureaus. all this for 139.53 they demand that I owe them.

They will not give you clear information on why you owe the money. They just tell you that this is your final bill from your account. The customer service does not tell you anything else except for that you owe the money.

They owe me the for ruining my Iphone that can not be used for a phone now and I had to buy a new phone to replace it.

I am tired of talking to them and getting no where with people from India in there customer service dept. and do not want to help you with out giving out your social security number.

This my last plee for help. They do not care about what actually happened they just want your money!

Final bill was paid in full!

T-moble does not give you a transparent bill that shows you what you are paying for.

I went there on the 15th which was my billing cycle date. They told me that if i cancelled, I need to pay a full month and finish paying off the phone. They said the account is now paid in full and would not owe anything.

I was told that since it was before the 21st of the month that I would not owe anything else.

I like to accept people that represent the company for telling the truth.

I did not know that they were not going to unlock one of my phones and keep the account open on all the phones so I would have to pay the full price for another full month on 4 phones (which the 3 phones that did work were already transferred to MetroPCS and were active with them)

It is not like I went to your competition, MetroPSC is part of T-moble and you still wanted to burn me for 2 months and I was able to convince a customer service rep to back date the disconnection date to remove one of the months owed.

This is just bad business, and other people that want to switch their family to T-moble need to know what could happen when they try to leave the company. (and actually want to unlock their phone that they paid for and use it somewhere else)

You are not that important

While I am sure you think it makes your report sound better and it was added to make your sound like a true victim.  The fact is that you are just not that important to them and this is not some sort of "punishment" because you are leaving them.  There is not some guy in a back room that just sits there all day deciding to punish people for leaving their company.

What you need to do is go through your last few bills and look at what is being charged and itemized on the bill.  I can guarantee you that the detail is there and there is not some line that says "punishment fee...$139.53".

If you agree with the charges then add up what you actually paid.  If you still owe money then pay what you owe.    Because believe it or not the local store may not have given you the true total(because there may have been additional fees pending).  Which even though I know you are thinking it, if they made a mistake it doesn't take away the fact that you still owe it.  If they unlocked 3 of the phones it doesn't take away the fact that you still may owe the money.

Now, if you disagree with the charges look at which specific ones you disagree with and then look at your contract to verify if you do owe them or not and then go after those and dispute those if you must.
