I was contacted by T. Teal, via a form letter offering to buy a piece of property I had in Texas. The letter from Teal had all the proper parcel/tax information. The letter offered the sum of $34000.00 for the property. And also listed the steps to take. He wanted NO MONEY up front. In fact he offered to deposiot a significant amount into an escrow company, of his choosing.
Although I am not the listed owner, but am one of the owners, I accepted on their behalf. Then I googled his name and came up with the scams he pulls. When he gets ahold of a copy of the title, he encumbers it with restrictions to the point where you are unable to move forward. He has no intention of buying it. Just wants to be paid to go away.
Do not fall for this criminal scam.
