Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
My mother in law bought my husband and children clothing from Target. Althought the things for my daughter fit nicely, the sequined writing fell off and kind of stuck to itself after I laundered, it as the tag instructed.

WHen I inquired about exchanging, I was told that without a receipt, I would have to get the exact same item .Why would I want to exchange for another shirt that will fall apart again?

It seems to me that a retailer would want to offer its customers quality merchandise, and if a fault was found with the item, be honorable by offering the customer an item that is not going to fall apart.

I do not want money back; I also do not want another poorly made shirt. I would have been happy with a plain shirt without the sequinned writing.

As it is now, I have a pretty blue shirt that fits my daughter, but the sequinned writing is half stuck-on, and curled up in a mess. It is obviously unwearable, and was a waste of time and money for my mother in law to buy, and a big disappointmen to my 6 year old duaghter.

She loved it. The item is not something that is sold at other stores; it is a Target brand. I could understand this policy if the item was something that other stores carry, but this is not the case. It is a Target brand, a poorly made one, and Target apparently does not have integrity enough to say "Yes, it is our brand, it IS faulty or poor quality, and we will stand by our products and name, and give the customer an item of the quality they paid for." Instead, they have chosen, in essence, to say "The item is made by us, and it is poor quality, but too bad. You lose. But, hey, we got a sale! $$" Too bad, because in the end Target will lose customers-which doesn't matter to them anyway, so I guess I am wasting my time writing this.

They filed the following rebuttal to the above Rip-Off Report: Their email: [email protected] Their name: Jessica Their relationship to the company: Supporter Rebuttal: I work at a Target out in California. What happened to you was not right. It isn't the company's fault that you had an idiot taking care of you. I feel bad that someone that works at Target did that. You should have that person reported or go to another Target store. I know for a fact that Target does exchanges even without a reciept. Especially if an item is definately targets.
