I went to Tax Stop LLC in Denver Colorado to get help with my IRS tax Debt. I full paid the company and they assured me that my settlement would be handled and I wouldn't have to worry about the IRS levying my wages or bank accounts.

After five months my wages were levied on and so was my bank account. When I called Tax Stop I was given the run around from the receptionist, I couldn't talk to anyone about what was going on. Chip and Zak are the owners and Hayden is Zak's wife who does the Offers in Compromise supposedly. No one would return my calls and come to find out the company is going under and they are signing people up and not working the cases.

I am out $5000 because that was my fee to Tax Stop LLC and much more because they IRS took everything I own because they didn't do my offer in compromise. I hope the IRS shuts this company DOWN!!! They are the thiefs not the IRS!

#2REBUTTAL Owner of company

Thu, October 08, 2009

As an owner of Tax Stop, LLC  I can assure you that the policy of this company is to provide customer satisfaction to the best of our ability.  We have an excellent record and have available to our clients and potential clients proof of successful negotiations with the IRS.

Per search of our data base we have no record of a customer from Omaha, Nebraska having paid a $5,000 retainer fee.  (our fees are usually much less - $1500 range).  If this customer exists and can send me (fax) a copy of retainer agreement and proof of payment I will review file and would consider refund if this office didn't fulfill agreement.  That is our policy.

My suspicion is this client doesn't exist.  I think the complaint was filed by a disgruntled former employee who was fired around the time of the complaint being filed.  This person threatened to get even and coincidently windows were broken at an owners residence at that time too. (a customer from Nebraska wouldn't know where owners lived)

Also, to suggest "the company is going under" would not likely be something a customer would have knowledge of.  We told person that we fired that we couldn't afford him any longer.  (we were being nice) But we're doing just fine.

If I'm wrong about my suspicion I apologize and as stated above would like to make good with this person.

Thank you,

Chip
