I submitted two complete rebate packages to TCA for a Netgear wireless router and adapter that were purchased at Insight.com, a mail-order company in Sep. '03. Included for both was the completed Netgear rebate form, printed e-mail order confirmation, and UPC bar-code from the box. When I checked the status recently both were listed as rejected because the first item didn't include a proper UPC bar-code and the second item didn't include a packing slip. I was unable to reproduce the UPC bar-code because it was in their possession. I hadn't sent them the packing slips since they were not required per rebate form instructions and I did not retain them.

I've submitted at least eight rebate requests over the past two years and have recieved only one rebate check, and for that one I needed to resubmit the paper work because they lost it. From my experience with them I would conclude that their employees are encouraged to reject as many rebate requests as possible and dispose of all rebate source documents. I believe management deceptively changes the rules on the fly to meet their rejection quota (the legal community would refer to this as fraud). TCA needs to be shut down. I suggest boycotting all companies that use them for rebate processing.
