oops= this is Jimmy, I just filed a report about these guys but forgot to add something- ripoffreport has them under the category of modeling agency but that's not correct! they're not an agency- they told my girlfriend that when she was going to apply - they don't book any jobs themselves- they're a huge search engine, kinda like monster.com, where the agencies search for talent.

so hope the editor reads this and updates their info.

maybe create a category called scouting company or something.

thanks!

scam Scam SCAM

Honey, this is the best scam I've ever seen. If I could take down this company all by myself, I would gladly do it. Yes, I paid the $600+, I've done the research, and, yes, it is definitely not what they say it is. NO, they are not a casting agency (and they do say they are not), but that is not the issue. The fact that it is not a casting agency is not why people are upset. They lie...hey, you supporters, did you know that castnet (the acting side of TCT) is FREE to union members? I am a union member, they "forgot" to inform me of that and told me that they "suggest" all new members sign with the modeling side first, then if they want, to switch to acting. They are a scam. If anyone wants TCTalent to go down, they will need lots of help...do you think Lou Perlman would make a company that was easy to catch in a scam? His name is already soiled, so anything he does will be almost impossible to break down. That company is prepared for the backlash. Be my guest..get scammed.

interesting point- but still look out

you make a valid point but look out anyway- whether or not they're an agency, they should be making their money if an agency SIGNS or BOOKS you, not just for sticking your picture up. I mean, it's the same ripoff as the model searches- they charge you to be SEEN by the agencies whether or not you get picked. hello, headhunters find you a job and THEEEEEEN they get paid, not simply to call a few companies to see if they're hiring. they only get paid when they get you hired. it should be the same here whether or not they actually do the booking.

The Way It Really Is

To all of you who think that Trans Continental Talent is a rip off you obviously didn't pay attention to the video and the speaker in the open call. They clearly state in the booklet that you recieve, in the movie that you watch and the speaker talking to you that the are not a modeling agency. And it is clearly stated on their website if you have visited it that they are the largest scouting company in the world. So befor you sit there and bag on them do a little more research, because all you are doing is making yourself look completely ridiculous!
