The Great Thorn
Scottsdale,#3Consumer Suggestion

Dawn I hope this information will help you understand more about the car business. Think of me as an EX-car salesman that likes to expose the auto industry and help bash the bad car dealers who RIP OFF CAR BUYERS. There is a good reason I call myself "The Great Thorn" The car salesman's job is to get his meat hooks into your buying flesh before any other car dealer can. If they talk to you by phone, They will tell you anything to "Get you on their lot" After they get you on their lot it is their job to find anything that will come close to what you are looking for. After you and the "Lot Shark" find something you are willing to take home, then the F&I department will take their turn at you. In your situation, Please understand that car dealers that work with consumers that have some "Speed bumps" in their credit past will run you and your credit through the ringer, no matter how much damage they do to your credit. You will have to be very careful that car dealers do not send your credit info to a bunch of banks. This will lower the buying power of your credit. It seems to me that The General manager at this dealership does not know how to hire F&I people. Yes, it is true that it is hard for dealers to find car loans for consumers with "speed Bumps" in their credit past. If they did hire trained F&I people they would have a good idea as what will work and what will not work before sending your credit info to a long list of banks. I am willing to bet you Dawn that this car dealer has in fact sent your credit info to a bunch of secondary lenders. On other words "Fired a shot gun" to your credit. If I were you, I would go to a credit reporting agency in your town and pay for a copy of your credit report, This will not hurt your report if it is done at a credit reporting agency, But it will show you just how many inquirers this dealer has put on your report. In most car buying contracts in REAL SMALL PRINT it will tell you that if the dealer is unable to obtain financing for you that you will bring the car back to the dealer. Trust me Dawn all of the "LOOP HOLES" are in real small print and on the other side of the contract, and in the dealer's favor. You mention that you had a Co-signer that had a beacon score of 700. Pay no attention to a Beacon credit score. The credit score that you want to pay real close attention is your "Fair Isaac Score" and no other! But here we go again, the credit industry does not want you to see your "FAIR ISAAC SCORE" because you then will become an educated consumer as to the true buying power of your credit. Dawn If you look at the car buying contract that they had you sign, you just might see that nowhere does it reveal the name of any bank. If you signed a contract say at 18% and after you go home and the F&I department finds a bank that will do 14% the dealer will send your paperwork to that bank and the car dealer will keep you at the 18% and scoop the difference of 4% Do not think that the car dealer will call you and say "hey Dawn, guess what. We found a bank that will give you a better interest rate, So come down and re-sign for a lower payment". As far as the list of cars that they have faxed you, be real careful! I feel that they are going to "JACK you AROUND" until one of two things happen to you. 1 They rip your credit report a big fat new A HOLE by sending so many inquiries to secondary banks all over the country. 2 This dealer finds a big piece of junk that they have hardly no money in and that they find a sucky bank that will rip YOU a new A. Hole at an interest rate way over 20%. I have seen a car Buyer's contract where they had bought from "UGLY DUCKLING" at 29.9%. I have a copy of the contract to prove it. Trust me Dawn I. Feel this car dealer will do anything and everything to you and your credit report to slam you into a crapy car deal. If I were you I would talk to VERY CLOSE family and ask for assistance. In other words find a family member that will buy the car and you be the Co-signer. This would be a small start for you to have a car loan on your credit report. You might like to try this. If I were going to buy a used car and I had some "Speed Bumps" in my credit, I would go to Sun City, Arizona and buy a local newspaper and buy a car from a senior citizen that no longer needs a car. Sometimes the senior citizens can no longer drive because of their health. Most senior citizens are not out to gouge the public when selling their car. And most do not trash their cars. They tend to take care of them. Just remember DO NOT let a car salesman talk you in to a car with a payment that will be hard for you to make. Because there is a big fat list of repo men just waiting to take your car while you are fast asleep. Don't believe me? go to www.repo.org and you will see for yourself. They have Repo men in every state waiting for that one phone call that gives them permission to snatch your car. I also would advise you before you sign anything call your insurance company up and ask how much will the insurance be. If you buy the car and then find out that you can't afford the insurance, YOU ARE TOAST. Dawn ask yourself this question. What do these web sites do for car dealers? www.jeffsacksandassociates.com www.stukertraining.com www.paulcummings.com www.nationalautotraining.com www.tewart.com www.joeverde.com www.grantcardone.com Dawn come back to your Rip Off Report and post what you think the above list of web sites do for car dealers. If I were you I would also email a "Printer Friendly Version" of your Rip Off Report to the following people at Ford Motor Company. These people all work in Ford's financial deaprtment. Daniel Jarvis [email protected] Brand(s): Ford Motor Company Department: Ford Financial 1-313-594-2527 Walter Jennings [email protected] Brand(s): Ford Motor Company Department: Ford Financial 1-313-594-1099 Melinda Wilson [email protected] Brand(s): Ford Motor Company Department: Ford Financial 1-313-322-3475 Joan Witte [email protected] Brand(s): Ford Motor Company Department: Ford Financial 1-313-322-7332 Dawn The tables have turned thanks to the Rip Off Report. Businesses that like to Rip Off consumers can't hide from the Rip Off Report. I hope that this info helps you.
