Tech Star Roofing Middlefield Connecticut
I hired Tech-Star to reroof my house, consisting of removal of the old roof, and installing tne new. Tech-star hires subcontractors to do their work. After the job was complete, I found numerous areas of poor workmanship as follows:
Shingles not laying flat adjacent to dormers due to improper trimming of shingles.Crumpled flashing around roof plumbing vent. Numerous rips and tears in the new shingles. On one area of the roof, the shingles were not applied paralell to the ridgeline, giving a sloping appearance.
Gutters were not protected from ladders, resulting in much damage to the gutters. Numerous chips in the cedar siding resulting from not putting up proper protection during the ripoff of the old roof.
SA bulge along one side of the valleys, resulting from overlapping the shingles rather than trimming at the valleys.Smashed water diverter at an inside corner of the gutter.
The owner of the company could not be bothered to come out and inspect the quality for himself.
The subcontractor, Empire Construction, offered nothing but excuses saying the damage was unavoidable.
I would not Recommend Tech-star to anyone because of poor quality workmanship, and poor attitude.
