I was in the market to purchase a new camera when I came across www.TechonDIGITAL.com. I could not believe how low their price was, now I know why!
After you place an internet order with them they send you an email that directs you to call them to confirm your order at which time they use high pressure tactics to sell additional items that they insist you need with the camera.
If you decline, as I did, they abruptly hang up on you and e-mail you that your purchase is on back order for 6-8 weeks.
I think that this is a very misleading way to do business; if the item is not available you should be informed when you place your order. This is common practice with many other internet companies that I have done business with.
I cannot believe how similar this experience is compared to the report I read about The Digital Nerds on Rip-off Report. Now I know why both sites have such low prices; they suck you in, then try to sell accessories at inflated prices.
At any rate, be warned before you purchase any items You may regret it.

I also fell victim for the price. Camera was about 30.00 cheaper than any place else. I did the order and called them the associate was full of **IT. "normal batteries leak and will ruin your camera that is why we sell special rechargable batters for 29.99 or 99.99 the 99.99 you can charge anywhere in your car in other countries ".... on and on.. i said no. "Well you need a memory card" I said I am upgrading I have a memory card to use. "WHAT???? You still need one." I restated my facts.. i just need the camera nothing else. Associate said FINE enjoy your camera... and then hung up on me.. not a very polite way to end a conversation. I then researched the company online (i normally do this BEFORE I BUY BUT DID NOT THIS ONE TIME) ****!!!! I got scammed. Im not gettting a camera and these jerks have my credit card. I instantly called them back Some guy was on the phone in a retarded voice.. "MMMMMM YESSS (nasal sound like they knew it was me calling from caller id) CAN I ELP OOOOOU?" I asked to confirm shipment on an item and I got sent to some Jeffery's voice mail. I then hung up and called Visa and reported the card lost/stolen since no charge had been made on the card yet. It has been 1 day now and I have not been contacted about shipment of product email confirmation about not being able to process the credit card or anything. STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!!!!!!!
