Thanks to you and to everyone who entered reports on TeleKing and its connection to Debit Corporation of America. I too was given a similar "one time only" offer from "Jeff Michael" from Debit Corporation of America: three units to start my prepaid MasterCard business for $6000 less than the original asking price to find out for myself that I would make money in this business. In addition, I would have the option of purchasing additional units for $1000 each to expand my business. I too was told that I was a special case and that the owner had autorized him to partner with me and offer this deal because I was in an area where they're losing money each day by not having a distributor. To make a long story short, I was leaning towards taking a chance on it and actually wrote the check and signed the contract. While I was making a copy of the contract before sending it off, he got FedEx on the line and was ordering the pick up. He gave his name to FedEx as Jeff Kuba. Now, I don't have a great memory for names, but I was pretty sure that name wasn't the one he gave me so I consulted my notes. As he was happily wrapping up his call to me, I asked him if his last name was Kuba. He told me no, his name was Jeff Michael. I then asked about him giving his name as Jeff Kuba to FedEx, and in response he gave me a weak explanation about not liking the name Kuba, and Michael being his name too so he chose to use it, blah, blah, blah. Now I may be ignorant, naive, and a lot of other things, but I'm not stupid. I figured he was trying to hide his name from me for a reason. Thanks to you and to others who submitted reports, I now know why. When I received a call from FedEx regarding the pick up, I told them I was cancelling it. From the details I've read on this site, I'm afraid that even my 5-day right to recind wouldn't save my money once they got their hands on my check. Again, thanks to all of you who entered reports and named names that could be connected to other similar rip-offs!

I called the California Attorney General and found that these guys have been players in this scam game for YEARS according to the California AG. Right now a lawsuit has been filed as of April 1st against TeleKing by California AG for several violations of California Law. Washington State has too. They are also the same characters who are taking part in Debt Corporation of America. When I signed on in November 2002, I was given the same song and dance by Jeff Kuba. The Florida BBB showed them as having a good record. Right now, I am getting ready to file suit against them for misrepresentations in both their disclosures and in their promises. The only issue my attorney has is that the promises were all verbal. They have had their phones forwarded since March 25, 2003 to an answering service. Probably because they are screening their calls and choosing who to call. Jeff Kuba is a smooth talker and I advise anyone who is considering this business....DON'T DO IT!!!! I'D ADVISE EVERYONE NOT TO DO ANY MORE BUSINESS WITH ANY MORE "GET RICH" COMPANIES BASED IN FLORIDA!!!

4/8/03: Wow! A distributor who wants to quit his business and send everything back due to lack of communication has gotten no response from anybody at TeleKing to try and fix the situation. Not that I got any communication from them after receiving my materials anyway. To be continued--
