Our elderly, disabled father saw the Tele King commercial on the Fox TV Network. He called the 800 phone number.

They convinced him to invest $10,000 with the promise he would make much more than that from the Tele King pre-paid phone card business.

Our father is now finding out the hard way that Tele King is now widely reported to be a fraudulent, and possibly criminal operation.

We have found out that the Florida Attorney General's Office has opened an investigation of Tele King of Miami. The information below is from the Florida AG's Office:

Case Number: L02-3-2534

Subject of investigation:

Tele King Communications Corporation Subject's address: 11900 Biscayne Blvd., Suite 620, Miami, FL 33181

Subject's business:

Selling phone cards Allegation or issue being investigated: Misrepresentation of income opportunity

Status of case:

Investigation opened Subject's position:

No response at this time AG unit handling case: Economic Crimes Division in Fort Lauderdale, Florida

We are encouraged that others have contacted the FBI and we will be doing the same. The FBI has been very active in telemarketing fraud investigations. The FBI and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, in a joint task force, have recovered over $15 million from fraudulent scams in Canada who target U.S. citizens, and returned most of it to victims. The name of that task force is Project Colt.

We hope the FBI can be equally as aggressive in investigating and prosecuting these kinds of frauds operating in the U.S. (Miami). For those who have been cheated, have faith in our FBI and contact your local field office. You may also contact them via their Web site.

We would also be interested in joining any class action lawsuits to recover our father's $10,000 and prevent other Americans from being victimized by Tele King.

My father had checked with the Florida Better Business Bureau. The Florida BBB gave Tele King and clean bill of health and told my father this was a good investment.

After reading the BBB investigation from RipOffReport, I now understand that the Florida BBB may misrepresent the honesty of businesses who are paying "dues" to them. This results in more victims of Tele King and seems like it might fall into "criminal conspiracy."

The Florida BBB may offer "protection" to businesses like Tele King who pay "dues" by then not giving bad reports on those businesses who pay. Businesses who don't pay to the Florida BBB may not get this "protection" with good reports. This sounds like it may be criminal activity also and we hope the FBI and Florida Attorney General can investigate the Florida BBB.
