I paid Teleten Marketing $1000 for "pre-qualified" leads. They were supposed to fax me leads as their telemarketers got off the phone with the customers and then I was supposed to call the customer and sell one of my mortgage products.

The leads were not pre-qualified as the salesman told me. I still made calls on the leads that I was given but the people I talked to weren't very interested and they were supposed to have already given their social security numbers so their credit could be pulled. This only was the case with a couple of people.

I called to complain that our agreement wasn't being met and at first they told me they would take care of it but after a few days I couldn't even get anyone to answer the phone or call me back. I did not receive $1000 worth of leads. Not even close.

The faxes stopped coming and my business died.

I am mortgage broker I run a small office in Long Beach, CA. I was repeatedly faxed solicitations to purchase leads. I originally spoke with Jerome Haynes in the LA office. I debated whether or not I should do business with this company and purchase leads. Our orginal conversation surrounded a partial package of leads, total of 35. Four of which would be "direct connects" He garaunteed me for that price of $875 all of those applications would contain social security numbers. I attempted to contact Jerome, and was told by a sales rep named David that "Jerome was gone and he would not be back for several weeks..but that he could help me start my campaign." I told David of my negotiation with Jerome and I was told that for $800 I would get 25 apps with social sec. numbers but no direct connects. (the reason I went for such a small amount was to see if their promises were true.) He assured me once again that even though I would receive 25 apps with socials. Knowing what I know now, I would have saved the $800 and thumbed through farm packets. It gets better...my first app I received which was 3/29/05. The customer did not evern qualify for a loan, and there was no social on the app. the second and 3rd apps I received on 3/30 and 3/31 WERE BOTH REGISTERED ON THE DO NOT CALL LIST!! They have been on the list since the inception of the list. In addition the customer on one of them DID NOT OWN A HOME. After receiving those two "leads" I have sinced received 3 MORE that are on the DO NOT CALL LIST. I spoke with my customer svc rep. Tracey at ext. #278 (it took me over 5 calls to get her on the phone...or anyone on the phone.) I explained to her that their tele-marketer Delores was responsible for these 5 DNC applications. I explained to Tracey the FINES OF $11,000 PER INCIDENT that can happen for violating this law. She did not seem to care, I explained to her further that she is representing MY company, and their actions were jeapordizing my lively hood. I ASKED HER TO CANCEL MY CAMPAIGN IMMEDIATELY...NO MORE CALLS...but the calls continued...I received more 3 more apps after that convo. AND ALL OF THE INFORMATION WAS MADE UP. I would receive apps where they spoke to them but had not interest or no ability to qualify for a loan. I advised Tracey further of the problems, and she told me to "fax the bad ones back, and we will credit you" I told her this was not acceptable and I wanted to talk to her boss. I was transfered to Linda at ext #234 who did every thing in her power to keep my business...but never resolved any of my issues, and never did anything about the violations of the DNC list. She told me "my data for the campaign would be scrubbed against the DNC list by the I.T. dept." I told her I would give them one last chance with my business. Their last chance expired today when I called my most recent "lead" and the applicant was un-employed and did not remember speaking to anyone about a loan ever. I left another message for linda tonight..advising her to CEASE and DESIST my campaign immediately. I will be sending a registered letter to the offices on Wilshire Blvd. in LA to put my request in writting to Stop my campaign. I am so disgusted by them, and they never answer the phone...I might even drive up the freeway to their offices (because I doubt they read their mail either)...And speak directly with Jeremy since he seems to be the company spokesman AND NO I AM NOT YOUR COMPETITOR. I WAS your customer. I had my processor check this web site before I paid, and she could not find anything...she spelled it Tele - Ten...because that is how their add I received via fax was printed. So I did not read any of this until now. This company is a waste of my time and a waste of money.

The fact that the rebuttal says that they don't know who I am is in itself proof of how poorly this company is run. Why would I take the time and just make up things about this company? I have better things to do. They suggested I call them and they would take care of things. I have tried calling several times and no one answers. I leave messages but no one returns the calls. I have sent e-mails and no one responds. They just don't seem to care.

Teleten does respond to all client concerns and calls. It is our policy to attempt to return all client calls within 24 hours. We are not acquainted with who this person is. Therefore, we think this posting is bogus. If this person is a client, we encourage him to call us, and we will gladly address his concerns and agree on a plan to finish his campaign. Sometimes our competitors do post negative comments.
