Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

On Saturday, 1/4/2014 I received a bill with my address but I'm not the person listed on the bill . . . again. I had already received a bill from Texas Tollways sometime back with this same gentleman's name on it. I had called about it to let them know the error of their ways and assumed the problem was corrected.

Evidently, it wasn't.

So, today I called back . . . again. Their automated system said there was a six minute wait. 24 minutes later I spoke with a person. I then waited another six minutes while his computer refreshed. Once that was worked out, he said he had to direct me to another department. I thought I had punched the correct button. "3" for billing, but I guess not. I waited another 14 minutes to speak with a lady who obviously didn't want to be at work on a Monday morning. One of the rudest, most unaccomodating customer service representatives I have ever spoken to.

I explained the predicament to her and she told me that I needed to put the bill in the mail and send it back to them. Evidently, even though she had all the pertinent information from the bill that she needed, I had to send it back to them. I mean no disrespect in saying that seems so '80s to me to have to do that.

The only reason I called in the first place was because I accidentally got on 183-A in Austin some years back, realized I was on a toll road and immediately got off. What was that? A .50 toll? I received a bill some months later for about $26.00. I had never received a bill for .50 or I would've taken care of it. I suspect the same thing had happened with this bill. My bill went to another address several times until someone finally got it right and sent it to me. I then had to jump through the hoops and call the collection agency to get things worked out.

I have a TxTag and enjoy the toll roads when I have to take them. But this experience reminds me of a certain phone company whose name starts with a "V". Great company until you have to call them. Then the whole operation goes to Hell in a handbasket.
