Thaigems.com Bait and switch gemstones charges you to return Bangkok
First, when I had problems with PayPal, Thaigems contacted me within hours to collect their payment. When I contacted them about my dissatisfaction, it took them five days to respond.
The aquamarine they had pictured on their website, which I ordered, was a brilliant shade of baby blue. The stone they sent me is nearly colorless.
When they finally responded to my request to return the stone for a refund, the entire body of the text was written in a size 12 font. The line that states "If you wish to return an item to obtain a refund, the amount of US$14.99 will be deducted to cover the insured express delivery to Thailand." is in size 8.
So essentially, they sent me the wrong stone, but want me to pay $15 to return it to them. Anyone else agree that this is a very bad business practice?
