The Bug Farm is a fraudulent ripoff company, you pay for bugs but only get a jar of dirt. San Rafael, California
Dear Everyone,
DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. I am a investigator and usually deal with other people's fraud. Now here is where I am the victim:
Approximately a month ago I ordered a bug culture, (called Springtails), to provide a dietary supplement for my pet frogs. I ordered one culture online and paid through thier website with my credit card. The total was approximately $10.00. About a week later I recieved my shipment. The said bugs were supposed to be in a small jarlike container. Upon inspection, I observed nothing but a dirt. However, according to the directions that even though you don't "see" them, that shipping is hard on them and the "eggs" contained in the culture would hatch.
So I dilligently followed instructions. Approximately 2 weeks later, I still just had a jar of dirt. So I emailed the company. I got a response and was informed that maybe I didn't follow the instructions because thier culture is doing fine. So I responded again and demanded a new "good" shipment or my money back. I recieved no response. Approximately 1 week later I recieved a new shipment. Guess what?.......I GOT MORE DIRT! YAY FOR ME! So anyhow to conclude, to this day I still have no bugs and I paid $10.00 for not even a handfull of dirt.

George, This scam is too greasy not to toy with the con. Go to http://www.judgejudy.com/home/main.asp and see if they would be interested. The guy is selling dirt! I suggest you take your dirt to a local university and ask them if the eggs are or were ever there. If not or if the prof says no way could it have worked--take him to small claims. Take your professor's report with youbetter yet, drag the professor along with you. This guy needs to be embarrassed in front of a judge, and if you do the biology before him youll turn the tables on him. I couldn't find a corporate filing for The Bug Farm. So you can file right there in your town. Good Luck! TFC PS I used to live in Poway, CA. Nice place...

George, This scam is too greasy not to toy with the con. Go to http://www.judgejudy.com/home/main.asp and see if they would be interested. The guy is selling dirt! I suggest you take your dirt to a local university and ask them if the eggs are or were ever there. If not or if the prof says no way could it have worked--take him to small claims. Take your professor's report with youbetter yet, drag the professor along with you.
