Computer Cafe was lazy in not checking the serial number of the motherboard, just the serial number of the box. 1% of customers will try and rip companies off, if you let them. I hope CC learned a lesson.

Here at Computer Cafe Inc. wether anybody likes it or not we operate under christian principles. You made a mistake when you walked through the door with that mainboard buddy. I admit i made a mistake by having to leniant of an exchange policy. I was patient with you and gave 3 weeks to return the board. You were too lazy to take action and return it. So i had to give you insentive. Thanks to people like you that businesses have to add stipulation after stipulation to the bill of sale. We have to spend more time to examine the credibility of the return. This all boils down to the customer having to take more time out of their day to wait in a return/exchange line. It has been 4 years since you submitted this complaint and i am pleased to let you know my business is thriving. You should be ashamed of yourself. I am sorry you will never have the opportunity to be one of our customers. Marco A. Leal CEO Computer Cafe Inc. AKA by Alan (NUTCASE)

It is my experience that the Computer Cafe is over priced (compare to Newegg) and has treated me with dishonesty. I find the owner to be lacking in any customer service skills what-so-ever. I ask people not to do business with them and hopefully they will disappear.

I've been a customer at Computer Cafe in Round Rock several times. Those guys are great!! My experiences with Computer Cafe have always been good! I've also called this store for technical advice. And, even if I didn't buy or wasn't going to buy, the advice given was very generous. Out of the 20 or 30 times I've shopped at Computer Cafe, I had one stick of memory go bad. I returned it (I think it was 9 or so months after the purchase) and was handed a new stick of ram....no questions asked....no hassle....no problem. I was honest with them and they were honest with me. COMPUTER CAFE IS A OK WITH ME IN AUSTIN, TEXAS!!!

The Computer Cafe took the board back, this man's employees checked the serial number and took the board back, and there is no way that I was fraudulent. I cannot believe that this hoaxster has made such a statement. Honestly why did his employees take the board back then change their mind. I have also had several other people bring issues such as this to my attention from the same company. It is a shame.

This gentleman originally purchased a motherboard from Fry's Electronics, which became non functional after 30 days, 15 days after the Fry's Electronics warranty expired. The customer then purchased a similar motherboard from us, and as far as we can tell, swapped the board he purchased from us for the board he purchased from Fry's Electronics. After keeping the board for two weeks, he returned the Fry's Electronics motherboard to us in the box he had purchased from us as he said it was not needed. In good faith, we accepted the return because the serial number on the motherboard box matched the serial number on our invoice. The next day we tested the motherboard and discovered that it was defective and attempted to RMA the board. Our supplier did not have a record of that serial number, nor after much searching they discovered had they ever sold it to any of their other customers. We then attempted to contact the customer and asked that he come in to speak with us about the problem. After no reply we began leaving messages about once or twice a week for several weeks. It was only after almost a month, that we were advised by a police officer that what this customer had done was theft that we did have legal recourse against him. It was at that time, over a month after the customer attempted to steal a component from us that we called the police and informed them of the situation. After further research and correspondence, we confirmed that the serial number on the board was in fact a product sold from Fry's Electronics. Due to this particular gentlemen's regret over getting caught with his attempt at fraudulently returning a motherboard to our establishment, he took it upon himself to post the above report.
