The Express Group rebate scam, upc not matching offer ripoff Wixom Michigan
I purchased a roaster after making comparisons. The rebate made my decision. I sent all the proper papers and was hepled at the store to cut off the upc code on the box and include the receipts etc. Tthey have done this many times and empasized the proper procedure.
I sent this and the upc code on the box as well as the bar code used by the store. They were fastened back to back as I responed to them.
I received an email saying the upc code did not match the offer and would not be honoured.
I suspect they chose the bar code that did not match so they didnt have to honour it
