I have read many complaints about The Grand Seas Resort and Club Navigo Resorts. I am yet another victim. I am only at the start of this but I am interest in people who would be willing to see if we can start a class action law suit against them. This would entail work on your end:

Understand the legal terms: A class action is a procedure used to efficiently handle a lawsuit in which a large number of people have been injured by a common act, or set of actions, or product. A suit is not considered a class action until there is a court order making it such.

Research the scope of the problem. How you do this will depend greatly on the issue. The Web is a tremendous resource: Visit chat rooms and online support groups to find information that relates directly or tangentially to your lawsuit.

Hire an attorney who specializes in the type of lawsuit you are pursuing. For instance, if you are suing a current or former employer for discrimination or back wages, hire an employment or labor lawyer. There are also attorneys who specialize in securities, product liability and defective manufacturing. Many lawyers who take on class action suits work on a contingency basis, which might be more than 30 percent of the final settlement.

Determine with your lawyer whether your lawsuit has broad appeal. It all depends on the problem. Again, use the Web to help identify potential plaintiffs. Dig up information from government agencies <!--[if !vml]--> <!--[endif]--> or congressional representatives. Place an ad in a newspaper after a class action is certified by a court.

File your case, then a motion for class certification. In order to qualify, you must prove that you have a sufficient number of plaintiffs involved, all of whom were subject to similar misconduct, and you must show that each person is making the same allegations. Your attorney must also prove that common questions predominate in the suit rather than individualized issues. He or she will handle this.

Send notices to potential members of the class suit. You as the plaintiff (and your lawyer) are responsible for this. The defendants must provide their names and addresses. Your legal team must also publish a notice in nationwide papers such as The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times. Some potential class lawsuit members may opt to sue on their own or not at all.

Prepare your case and get ready to go to court.

If you are interested in taking action that may take years or you have a solution on how to get rid of it once trapped in I would like to know!

I'm Also down with the class action.  See what I wrote. How can we get going with this.

I can't believe this.  I just read the complaint from Marsha in Bridgeport, WV and I was floored.  Just about everything she said in her complaint was said to me. Almost verbatim.

Guaranteed use anytime, anyplace. Here is Marsha's quote.

"I was reassured that I could use them anytime, anywhere in their resorts and would have no trouble getting reservations, even at the last minute. Well that was a joke. I have tried making reservations at their "all-inclusive" resorts, only to be told there is no availablity."

This is like deja vu.

I purchased a so called platinum membership which apparently is being treated as any other timeshare.  According to the sales person, with platinum I am guaranteed to be accommodated anytime, even with a 2 week notice.  They actually did this the last time I used it. (mmmm).  Now they are saying this policy does not exist.  I recently called to make my reservation which incidently I have only used once and it is around New Years.  And was told that dates were not available.  I find that curious because the last time we used it, we had the same difficulty explaining the "platinum" ownership.  But after some phone wrangling, we were given the dates we wanted.  This time I am experiencing the same crap as before.

Incidently, I live in the state of Florida and have the occasion of going down to South Beach.  What I hae seen truly disturbs me.  I place looks like a dump.  Where is this maintenance money going? I spoke to the owner the time that I was down there and told me all these grandious plans. Of which none have occurred, including the ratty furniture on the front porch.

Furthermore, it seems to me that they are using this place to house their family and friends. How do I know it was family?)  I speak spanish and I heard the conversations.  I actually saw someone one hanging out of the window and another person eating rice and beans with Chicken. ( Yes, I was close enough to see that)

One more thing. It seems that avoidance and difficulty in reaching someone in charge is their way of dealing with their owners.
Okay with that all said.  I am ready to do whatever it takes to get what I was promised or get some resolution of this situation.

This is deceptive at it's best and customer service at it's worse.  I am not going to give up my quest for justice.  I have nothing but time and money on my hands.   I am willing to use both to get what was promised.

I have been bamboozeled by these guys before.  I wrote the article on here from Kingston GA.  If we can get several others on here to go in, then it seems like a court would have to rule in our favor.  I get sick to my stomach everytime I hear, think or read about timeshares and Club Navigo.  I just feel like there is a rich fat man cruising the Caribean on our hard earned dollars.   Let me know what I can do.  Chris
