The Latin Travel Mall Closed Shop and Walked Away With Thousands of Dollars!! Paramount, California
I booked a group tour with Latin Travel Mall to Latin America. We were twenty passengers and paid over $20,000. I have invoices from Latin Travel Mall and bank statements to prove this.
Two days before our trip, the local Latin American tour company contacted me to say that they had not received any payment for our hotels and transfers. I assumed that this was a misunderstanding and contacted Latin Travel Mall immediately.
Latin Travel Mall did not respond and by the second day had DISCONNECTED THEIR PHONE AND WEBSITE: http://www.latintravelmall.com/index.php?main_page=down_for_maintenance.
In order for our group to travel, we had to pay over $20,000 AGAIN directly to the local tour company!!
If this happened to us, I'm sure that this has happened to others. If you have experienced something similar, please post as well.
