The Reserve Apartments The Reserve, The Sanctuary, The Reserve at the Landing, apartments, Disappointed after moving in - Fails to fulfill value for amount paid for rent! Renton Washington
First impressions were good here.
And admittedly, overall it's not too bad of an apartment complex.
It's just that quite a bit more should be expected, considering how much the rent is.
Seemingly unimportant details actually make a big difference when you're dealing with them daily (e.g. incrediably slow elevators, lack of stairs for every elevator, driveway/alley between two apartment buildings is too dark etc.)
Not to mention, considering that it's located in a desriable area known as The Landing with many stores, restraunts etc., it's not at all designed to walk in and out of the building.
There are doors of course, but the entraces were really designed around the garage(s). There's no convenient street-level door for people on foot.
When moving in about a year ago, I remember the leasing staff took some patience to work with. I can't even remember what specifically it was, but there was a simple task I needed done by my agent, who managed to screw it up 3 times in a row. That in it of itself is fine, but there was no sense of apology, or "stepping it up".
Basically, I remember feeling realy uneasy, and worried that said task might not ever get completed correctly.
Again, these are seemingly minor details, which may sound even more petty to read about, but considering the price, I just expected a lot more design and service.
If you ignore the details however, the place looks nice enough, both inside and out. And if you don't have to call on the staff for anything too complicated, they're nice!
I suggest moving here if being at the Landing is of any value to you. Otherwise, there's much more affordable, as well as a lot nicer, higher quality places to rent close by.
