On the 19th of November this company told me my daughter signed up to recieve their sat training package. They had all of my information as well as my daughters and they told me the information would get to my address in 5 days they just needed my credit card information. I told my wife about this and she mentioned it to a friend of hers who works for the bbb in Canton. Her friend said that the center had called them as well.

My wife called the sat center on November 25, and told them that we wanted to cancel the shipment but she was told that the package had already shipped and once we got it we could return it and a refund would be provided.As of the 8th of December we still had not recieved the package so we called again and we were told that the package will arrive any day. I asked for a tracking number and was provided with one. My brother in law is a postmaster for a town in Ohio so I gave him the information and he told me that the package was shipped on the 1st of December five days after my wife talked to them. And now we find ourself being charged a recurring fee of 49.95 for an online scholarship that we never signed up for. This place is a rip off hosted by a bunch of scam artist.

I did a little research and found out that students information can be purchased from studentlist.com. I havr contacted Kaplan, the BBB and the states attorney because this scam needs to be STOPPED! This is the type of scam that I have seen on the show American Greed. PARENTS BEWARE!!!! They PURCHASE STUDENTS INFO and THEN SOLICIT BUSINESS TO CONCERNED HARDWORKING PARENTS FOR their own PERSONEL GREED.

The SAT and Act Prep Center Inc. will no longer tolerate slander from any website. Nor disgruntled clients who choose not to state the true facts of their issues. We thrive to provide a great Customer Service Attitude. The Student checks off interest at College Career day; Internet or booth. We then call the Parent. The Parent can decide wither to purchase at the time of the call or we would provide our information and they can call us at a later date or time. For those that purchase at the time the Educational Counselor calls, we go over the details and read a mandatory confirmation explaining the Online Subscription for 49.95. We give you 30 days free of access and you may call and cancel before we bill you. The 30 days do not start till the product is received by the recipient. We ship 7 to days from purchase. Other Companies wait 4 to 6 weeks to ship product! The actual call is recorded from start to end. We also provide written material explaining the same. Our Policy is on our site www.satandactprepcenter.com . As a company we have nothing to hide and stand by the recording. Should an Educational Counselor misrepresent our strict policy. We as a Company stand by the recording and take strict guide lines to ensure our Company is represented accordingly. Mr. Kinkaid's information and research is incorrect and these slanderous allegations will be dealt with by our lawyer. We have never done business with STUDENTLIST.COM. Nor do we have the need to do such out sourcing or vendoring. We are Citizens, Entrepreneurs, also parents and believe in the product offered. We donate to High Schools. We also employ Teachers. We provide Jobs and we are God loving fearing people. We feed the hungry and have managed to help the needy by providing shelter, transportation and work opportunities. This is hardly the M.O. of a greedy Group of people. In December 2008 we were able to sponsor 2 Families for Christmas. We have turned the other cheek to slanderous complaints and can no longer stand the audacity of some people. We do have a LEGAL department and will make examples of those individuals who choose to be dishonest in a matter that can be dealt with amicably. Our Policies are pretty clear.
